Great location, we had a room upgrade, which was good. Food is good, although a bit too salty for my liking, but acceptable. Would definitely recommend.

Tideswell is in a great location within the Peak District.
Tideswell is in a great location within the Peak District. The village seems to be a thriving community and there are plenty of walks from it without needing to jump in the car. It's a 20 minute drive to Chatsworth and same or less to Castleton.

Tideswell is a convenient village for visiting Buxton, Bakewell and the Monsal trail in the Peak District.
It has 3 pubs within the village that all serve food, plus an Italien restaurant, a fish and chip shop and a local convenience store. The eateries get very busy in the evening so it's probably best to pre book. There are plenty of pubs in surrounding villages.
You probably need a car to get there, we did not use public transport.
There is a lovely church known as the Cathedral of the Peaks.

Possibly blown away by the friendliness of the place.
Possibly blown away by the friendliness of the place. I was expecting it to be friendly but it exceeded my expectations. Cathedral of the west worth a vist. I recommend a full breakfast from nearby cafes and a central location for many key Peak district sites.
Perfect base for exploring the area and both the cottage and Tideswell have everything you could want. A comfortable, well equipped house with a pretty, totally secure garden which had two seating areas. In hot weather, the ground and first floors could be kept cool and you could keep the door to the garden open. The bedrooms and bathroom were larger than expected and nicely done. The cellar was an additional useful space. I’m sure it would be very cosy too.
If you ever come to Peak District, this is the place to stay! Linda and Garry are great hosts which made us feel home. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit and traditional english eggs, beans and mushrooms and even some sweet afternoon cake. Bed was very comfy and room spacious and clean. Location in Tideswell is great, close to Castleton and a lot of other highlights in the national park.
The hotel was decorated to an extremely high standard and was very clean throughout. There were so many nice touches, such as a reserved parking space, welcome drinks, and fresh milk in the fridge (not the dreaded uht! The service was exceptional, staff friendly and the food in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast was fantastic. We would absolutely stay here again!
Really cosy cottage in an excellent location in the Peaks, close to great walks. Dog friendly, and though snug, had everything you might want or need in the kitchen etc. The water pump for the shower had broken before our arrival, but was fixed by the owners reasonably quickly. Comfy bed after a long hike, and plenty of on-street parking.
Breakfast was amazing, all freshly cooked. Restaurant in the evening was also excellent, with veggie choices too. Bed in the room was very comfortable. Great central location for the Peak District, and village of Tideswell was lovely with good pubs in walking distance if you didn't want to eat in the restaurant
The location was perfect for all the places we wanted to visit. Set in the beutiful town of Tideswell, the cottage was within walking distance of several local pubs, bakers and a Co-Op. The cottage was well stocked with the esentials and very clean and comfortable. The downstairs shower room is amazing!
Lovely property, with everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay (including the bonus of a tennis court). Great location (Tideswell has good eateries / pubs and both Bakewell and Buxton nearby). Samantha was very helpful and recommended good walks from the doorstep of the property.
Very cosy cottage - perfect location. Loved the little touches around the cottage.
Would highly recommend - lots of shops in village. Great organic meat from the butchers.
Walks - would recommend Tideswell to Monsal Head and Chrome Hill as looked like something from the Hobbit!
A quaint little hotel in a quiet and peaceful little town - well positioned to explore all that the Peaks district has to offer. The staff were very friendly and helpful - as were a couple of the locals who we chatted with in the bar over an ale - our two!!
Tideswell is a great location, with various pubs and restaurants, and nice walks from the village. The Beautiful Bobbin was a cosy, modern and clean cottage, well appointed with Christmas tree and decorations providing a thoughtful touch.
Lovely old village public house. Very comfortable room , spotlessly clean.. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Very reasonable price. Would happily stay there again.
Tideswell a lovely village with a beautiful church next door.
This property is in such a great location easy walking distance to all shops , pubs etc
The cottage is lovely and has everything that we needed whilst staying there ! We loved having the log burner on after our long walks
Hotel had good facilities in regards to drinks etc. Room was large enough. Breakfast was good though a little on the steep side especially having to pay for tea seperately and not included. Locality was good.
The cottage was in a lovely, quiet location with just a short walk into the village centre. The village has various pubs, cafes and a shop. The cottage itself had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
The property was very clean and comfortable
Lots of walks available within a short distance we’re a big appeal to me. The village is wonderful and the cathedral is beautiful
I’d definitely return!
