Very attractive hotel, with nice design features. The room was large and comfortable with two double beds, TV had international channels. The location is out of the centre but that suited us as we used the hotel on landing in Puerto Princessa before taking a transfer minibus to El Nido and at the end of our stay before flying to Manila. Pool looked very inviting but it was raining while we were there so we didn't use it. Staff were efficient and friendly and the breakfast had many choices including some items we didn't find in our hotels in the Philippines e.g a choice of cheeses.

We liked and enjoyed much the Underground River tour with very unique features. It's 1 and a half hour travel from downtown to Sabang Port. We tried also the exotic food, the "Tamilok", eaten raw dipped in vinegar. It tastes like oyster.
We also availed of the half day city tour. It's also an educational tour learning the historical background of the City.
We Bona's Changlao, serving Vietnamese food.
We had dinner at Kinabuchs Grill and Bar which accepts debit or card payment.
We also tried Gelateria ice cream in Bekiko. Also an Italian restobar and coffee shop.
Palawan is producer of cashew. You can buy cashew. Nuts in supermarkets and souvenir shops.
Mode of transportation in downtown area tricycle and jeepney. For long distance trip, van or car for rent are available.
I was not able other tourist destinations in the city had very short stay in the city.

We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan.
We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan. Started in El Nido then went to Port Barton, then to Sabang, then to Puerto Princesa. Puerto Princesa is the main town for everything (like hospitals and banks and malls). Good foods in El Nido and plenty of island hopping adventures but also quite expensive and touristy (ie. taking advantage of the foreigners). Each place had some interesting adventures. I would say that we overstayed at each place except Sabang where we only stayed 2 nights.

I felt slightly unsafe as a female traveler here, there were not many likeminded travelers around me, it felt very congested and the locals here could not communicate easily with me as an english speaker. I didnt find people to be very friendly here. The beaches/bays here were not very beautiful and there were not many attractions or places to eat good food. Don't recommend staying here as a western traveler if you have the choice of going straight to Port Barton or El Nido (both of which are INCREDIBLE) :)

Like other cities in the PHL, Puerto Princesa has changed a lot over the past 30 years. More people, more vehicles, more shops, more resorts. One thing that has not changed YET is the respectfulness and courteousness of the local folks.
The highlight of Coron is its many options on island hopping tours.
The highlight of Busuanga is the Calauit Island -- a mini-Kenyan or Tanzanian Safari. The giraffe feeding event in Calauit is more enjoyable than in any giraffe safari in the world due to the sheer number of giraffe that goes to the feeding area.
The highlight of El Nido is its lovely high end resort and the twin lakes tour.
The highlight of Puerto Princesa is the Underground Cave.
San Vicente is now being developed as another option. Its beach is very long so this looks promising.
Having experienced the Palawan highlights, I am content with the peace and quiet at the Dolce Vita Hotel. Important for me is Dolce Vita's clean and deep swimming pool.

We stayed at the Astoria.
We stayed at the Astoria. The one thing that surprised me was they didn't take me ATM cards. I did have credit cards available and my traveling companion was local so I was able to work around it. The bed was a little firm, other than that, the room was perfect. They said the room didn't have a view, but the place is so pretty, the view of the grounds was still magnificent. Especially with the ocean peaking around the next building. The nightly show at dinner was great and the staff was sooooooo nice. We arranged a few tours and saw things like Port Barton and the Underground River. The island is beautiful and I would definitely go back.

I had left luggage here on my Balabac trip. They were kind and accompany me while waiting for my van transport for both Balabac and El Nido.
They do arrange van transfer and had laundry service which is quite convenient.
I had move to a bigger room with better space compare to the first day. The room ac is works pretty well to combat the summer heat.
I had good sleep here and definitely recommended transient place if you do layover in Puerto Princesa for another destination in Palawan.
Who would have thought that there is a room as low as PHP 800 in Puerto Princesa City. We were really surprised because when we were planning prior the rate from other hotels nearby was ranging from PHP 2000 above. Since we were on a tight budget, we did our very best to look for an accommodation that is cheap in rate but is still satisfactory when it comes to service
This resort is beautiful.
All the staff are friendly and hospitable, especially the receptionist.
The swimming pool is inviting.
Outdoors have a relaxing ambiance.
Complimentary van transfer to hotel from the airport and vice versa.
We booked early and got the rooms at an affordable price.
We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Puerto Princesa.
If you want to try a bit of Palawan life in a local compound, Amber’s Homestay is great. I didn’t spend so much time there but Billy was super nice and really helpful. This homestay is located in a quiet place but nearby you can find the airport and a lively street to hang out. The night will be lovely in this small room in Puerto Princesa
Great place to stay in Puerto Princesa. We a spent one night on our way to Port Barton and the modern look of the hotel, with spacious rooms and bathrooms surprised us greatly. Continental breakfast is offered and the owner, Joe, kindly managed our transfers on the next day. Will definitely go for it again when in PPS.
The hotel is really cheap and clean! Stuff is really friendly and helpful. Also there is hot and cold drinkable water, cups and glasses at each floor.
Downstairs by the reception is small fridge that you can use. Each room have balcony that have space to hang wet clothes.
One of the best experience I had in Palawan!
A little piece of paradise in Puerto Princesa - beautiful surroundings, luxury room with super comfortable bed and bathroom, super friendly hosts with perfect knowledge of where to go, excellent breakfast, private bar.. wish could have stayed longer for a pool party :)
Room is quite spacious for a family of 4.You have 2 queen size bed and separate toilet and bathroom ( also big ).
The hotel is also very close to the airport, Puerto Princesa. It is literally just walking distance if you don’t have much luggage with you.
The hotel is nice, very accessibile from the baywalk of Puerto Princesa. The staff were kind, we stayed here for 2 weeks and the staff were very helpful during our stay. The room is clean, and they really do the cleaning every day.
It’s like a big beautiful jungle treehouse! absolutely loved the home, the pets, the kitchen, and the hosts. loved that it was in a residential area so you see a more real side of Puerto Princesa
Best hotel we stayed at in Palawan. A great place to take a good rest in a clean room with confortable beds, recharge the batteries and relax with one last massage at a very affordable price.
Small hotel perfect for a short stay in Puerto Princesa next to the airport like 10min on tricycle. The manager is very friendly which is very enjoyable. Small Price :)
Cant imagine staying anywhere else when im in puerto princesa. the beautiful scenery , clean rooms and helpful staff always comes together to make it a perfect stay.
The hotel is a wonderful little village in a remote area of Palawan. The environment at the beach was very nice and the staff very friendly and efficient.
