Great to take the hole in the rock boat trip.
Great to take the hole in the rock boat trip. Very convenient to catch the boat and hope over to Russell for a day trip. Lovely meal and walk at the wineyard in Russell. Lovely time to visit Pahia when it is sunny. Beautiful to spend 4 to 7 days chilling with the perfect sunset and sunrise. The indian restaurant along the beach at pahia is very authentic. Highly recommend pahia roadtrip.

Paihia is a very good place to stay if you want to explore Northland. If you are driving, you can go on your own to the tip of the North Island in about 3 hours. You can drive over to the Kauri Forest on the west side in about 1.5 hours. You can get tours out of Paihia for the Bay of Islands, the Ninety Mile Beach/Cape Reinga, Waitangi Treaty Grounds (you can walk there, about 3 km), rent kayaks or paddle boards, get fishing charters, take a ferry to Russell (or drive there). We spent 5 nights there and could have stayed a few more days and done even more.

Paihia is such a beautiful part of New Zealand!
Paihia is such a beautiful part of New Zealand! As the gateway to the Bay of Islands, there is so much to see and do here. There are some incredible restaurants to eat at and my husband highly recommends the Waitangi Golf Club just 5 minutes from Paihia. Definitely add the Bay of Islands to your list of places to visit in the North Island of NZ!

Great town with friendly locals.
Great town with friendly locals. All hospitality options covered, with a bar on a jetty that is very pleasant but always seemed short staffed. Easy walking town and a jetty to Russell with happy staff to greet you.
Visited Pompallier House in Russell which is well worth the visit and again met with lovely friendly greeting and service.
Really had a fabulous stay for a week. We were made welcome from the start. Anything we needed was supplied by just asking Winnie the owner of the motel. The room was spacious and very clean, everything we needed supplied in the kitchen area. Tea and coffee topped up daily and fresh milk in fridge. The hotel was perfectly situated a little walk from Paihia centre so very quiet and a beautiful walk along the seafront into town. We loved our stay and would definitely return if we had the opportunity. Didn’t want to leave.
The place was so clean. The views from our extra large balcony were absolutely spectacular. The place was roomy and very comfortable. The hosts Theo and Sopha were extra friendly and helpful, going so far as to drive us into town a couple of times. They were so accommodating in every way without being intrusive. It was a short walk to town that you could walk along the beach unless it was high tide, when you must go around on the main road. It was a steep vigorous climb either way, but we appreciated the exercise.
There is a free breakfast brought to your room each morning, and different each day. There is a main item, (omelet, bagel w/salmon) and a nice fruit plate. The location is about a ten minute walk from the main part of town and right across the road from the Paihia to Opua trail start. This end of the trail is only available at low tide. If the tide is up, walk over the hill on the sidewalk until the beach is there. Cross over a bridge and into the bush on the left to finish this great walk.
clean tidy and close to all amenities say 5 minute drive from Paihia
Chris and Michael are awesome host we stayed for 3 nights and it was a lovely 🥰 time of our life

thanks a lot Michael and Chris will see you in future
Beautiful lagoon pool crispy refreshing even at night before dinner. Awesome staff always ready to help however they can...so convenient to go thru the hotel walkway that links up to the waitangi entrance..totally loved all of this hotel...so comfy..relaxing peaceful tranquil..great place to unwind & breathe the refreshing country air. God bless copthorne paihia staff team everyday 🙏🤗🌷🌺🌻😊👍💜💛💜
The bed was probably the comfiest I've ever slept on in a hotel and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. It's across the bridge from the main 'centre' of Paihia, so it's either a couple of minutes drive or a half an hour flat walk. Pool area is lovely, with shade umbrellas and loungers dotted around for free, but a bit small and cramped once you get a few families in there.
The Bounty is always my first choice when planning a stay in Paihia. It's in a great location and is the best value for money above all other hotels in town. I am never disappointed.
The rooms are spotless and serviced every day. The decor is simple but tasteful and better than the mish-mash of colours I've seen at other hotels.
The staff are lovely. Paul is great.
A+ customer service. Super helpful and friendly staff. Very clean room and bathroom. Modern decor and well presented. The room was soacious with very comfortable beds. Great parking and excellent location just a walk down to the beach and shops. Highly recommend this place. My family and I will definitely use this place for our next stay in Paihia.
The location is fantastic with the beach just across the road. A short 1km walk or drive into the town centre, or a 200m walk to a lovely cafe! Julie was amazing and gave fantastic recommendations of what we could do during our stay in Paihia. A perfect spot to stay to explore Bay of Islands!
This is a good place to stay for access to Paihia and waitangi. The reception was good too. She knew we were coming for a wedding, so messaged to say we could check in earlier. The place was clean and tidy with everything we needed. We walked in to paihia no problem.
Right across the road from the beach and a fabulous view of the bay of islands looking across to Russell. The apartments are close to shops and cafes, and there is plenty to do in Paihia winter or summer.
Excellent Location of the waterfront view of the Waitangi/ Paihia Beach. Waking up to a lovely scenic view was breathtaking. Close proximity to Waitangi, Paihia, petrol station, supermarket and shops.
Delightfully cozy, really clean and well maintained. Lots of thoughtful extras, great vibe, spacious and even a friendly cat. Short walk to swimming beach, helpful staff, overall great value.
Location was superb! Beautiful sunrise and sunset. Breakfast spread varieties can be expanded. Family and kids game room was a fantastic idea, however it can be updated and better upkeep.
