Love the atmosphere with the hustle and bustle of the smaller city. Food is great especially their seafood and hawker stalls, highly recommend Coco Island Street Food for their grilled seafood, Roti Canai Transfer Road for their roti canai and roti bakar and Batu Ferringhi's hawker stalls for their quick fix of Malaysian cuisine like char kuey teow, nasi goreng and satay.
Their malls aren't worth going as they have the same shops as in Kuala Lumpur, rather just walk and eat at their local shops.

Really enjoyed my stay, wonderful food, interesting places to see and the people were very warm.
My favorite spot was the hotel, enjoyed everything about our stay and the cafe was wonderful, we ate at least one meal there a day. They served a variety of food so we were able to have something different each meal.
The staff at Muntri Mews helped us in many ways, getting us taxis and cycle rickshaws, advice on where to go and what to see and eat.
Thank you all for a wonderful stay!! Hope to be back soon!

Mostly crowded place in any popular Nasi Kandar shop and food court. Its actually worth your while if you are patience and willing to wait
The town are full with historical area, not short of explanation given by hotels, pamphlet to explain what going on with Penang, very tourist centric and accomodating even to a new travellers.
In Penang, i rather stay in Georgetown or a bit to the south until Air Hitam, rather than in bustling area of nearby Tanjung Bungah or Batu Feringgi because the area are very isolated and a bit far from the most attraction in Penang. In a very busy day, a trip from Batu Feringgi to Penang Hill might take up to one hour!
For muslim traveller, Local Indian Muslim (assortment of curry) Nasi Kandar, Nasi Briyani, Gurney Drive and Ais Tingkap is a must!

Georgetown is a must for everyone.
Georgetown is a must for everyone. This town is a food mecca... it is hard to find a bad eatery, there are so many amazing places to eat, Michelin star restaurants at local Malaysian prices, hawker centres where you will queue with the aunties for a 6rm plate of the best noodles you'll have ever tasted. There are so many fantastic bars and speakeasies. The street art... it is easy to get lost in the culture as you wander around the old streets, before ducking into a place for a cold drink and some AC.

Penang is my late dad’s hometown, so i’ve been visiting and staying in the Island many times since I was a child. I’d say that its capital George Town has it all; beaches, historical sites, shopping places, cultural centres, you name it and they got it.
One of the must-visit place in Malaysia whenever you’re in the country; please take note that it’s not that close to Kuala Lumpur/KL. If you’re driving from KL, it’ll take around 4-5 hours drive (and longer traveling hours train). Alternatively, you may take a 45 minutes flight via KLIA.
Oh, and skip the fancy clothing when you’re in Penang. It’s hot for the most part of the year. There’s no need to suffer in the name of fashion.

George Town is the perfect destination for those looking for a weekend getaway from the bustling concrete forest that is Kuala Lumpur. It is also perfect for those who hold a deep and special appreciation for cities that preserves their rich history and heritage. As you walk around the city, you can find yourself surrounded by many amazing street art and cute heritage sites, such as temples and other old Chinese architecture. And don't forget about the plethora of amazing and affordable street foods you can come across during your walk. Definitely don't end your day early and make the most of your evening as there are many night markets happening daily.
A very modern, comfortable hotel in a good location within walking distance of almost everything in George Town. The air conditioning is great, the shower is fully enclosed and has good water pressure, and there are outlets all over the room. If you like to sleep in pitch darkness, you'll love the blackout curtains. And the big wardrobe is very useful if you're staying long enough to unpack. My wife accidentally left a ring in the room when we checked out; the cleaning staff found it and returned it to us.
Nice Concept, Good Location
Manager of the hotel which is Non Malaysian Cut Of my Deposit Money Rm20 for the dirty Floormat which is a normal dirt for a floor mat where i mention earlier the room was a bit dirt and the dirt was a common dirt when we wipe our leg such a stupid reason he gave me when i tell him that u cant cut my money and i said i wan to talk to ur boss he said I'm the manager here which not a good service not well taught he needs to be more trained I'm really disappointed in this hotel.
The hotel location was central of George town main streets and excellent. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the staff gave us a very detailed introduction to sightseeing in Penang. In addition to that, they prepared a packed lunch box for breakfast since they knew that we would depart early in the morning the next day as well as they sent our parcel at the post office, which was not originally included in hotel service. They also handled the early morning airport drop off for us.
Booked a 1-bedroom suite in heritage wing. The room was very large and comfortable. However, beware of suites/rooms on the first floor. Our room/suite was above Cornwallis lounge (over looking the pool), which had loud music on weekend. Felt like we were sleeping in the club. Very annoying! Called front desk to complain -- no action taken. Hotel should disclose that when booking. At the price charged for suites, having loud music in your room all night is unacceptable.
The location is perfect. Check-in staff (Natasha) was very nice and welcoming, she arranged us very comfortable room. Other staffs were nice too! Restaurant was closed but there are many cafe/restaurants around. Car park is small but if you decide not to move your car and use grab or walk instead, you could secure one parking slot. Room was big and clean. Wifi and AC functioned well. In all, I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again and again when in George Town.
Good vibe, the room, downstairs and the outside had lots of personality.
Nice balcony, nice idea to put out books that guests can borrow. There were options for different languages.
The staff was amazing and very helpful.
We were woken up by the mosque, but we booked the hotel knowing this and were curious to experiencing that bit of culture. Definitely something special to experience!
When in George Town, I would definitely book this hotel again.
This my 2nd time stay here ....me and my husband enjoy stay bayview because most important very clean room, the bedsheet pillow, toilet carpet and etc and the view from the window was excellent..i love staff from front desk so frendly ..i remember last time i stay 1oct when i check in 2nd time 19oct staff really recognise me🤭🤭 guard from parking ,guard from door men and frondesk im really happy like we are family.i will repeat stay this hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at Treasure Hunter. The self check-in was very easy especially as we were sent very clear instructions which included a video. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The property is in an excellent location- we really enjoyed exploring George Town on foot and bus stops are nearby to explore other areas and attractions.
Savv Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of George Town. We easily could have spent three or four days exploring all that George Town and Penang have to offer. The room was cool and comfortable at night, had a strong wifi connection, and the staff were clear in communicating check-in and check-out procedures. We'd happily stay here again!
The hotel is situated outskirt of the core part of George Town. Visiting the heart of George Town took only 10 - 15 minutes walk. It's close to a big mall where groceries can be purchased. Staff was nice and polite. Very close (within 10 minutes walk) to some hawker centers and breakfast stalls where you could try local foods.
Smart hotel, with large suite and beautiful views in our case certainly.
Located between central George Town and Batu Ferengghi, but either accessed by bus or the ever reliable, quick and cheap Grab taxis.
Brilliant Lotus mall and supermarket a ten minute walk away - really good street food market hall directly opposite.
The staff were very good; competent, efficient and friendly.
The hotel had all the facilities we needed.
The room we were given was big and comfortable.
The location is pretty good; an easy bus 101 ride from central George Town, near to reasonable beaches and close to good food and a mall with food and supermarket.
An excellent heritage hotel in George Town with traditional decoration & atmosphere. Very relaxing & very helpful & friendly staff. Huge room with private bathroom outside the room. Very good location close to many malls. Very clean & very organized. Excellent WIFI internet inside the room.
Traditional hotel with comfortable rooms. Quiet too even though it’s close to the hustle and bustle of old George Town. Walked everywhere from here, the best food market just in front of the hotel and so cheap. Staff excellent, professional and very helpful. Always smiling!
The homestay is around 3km from George Town, around 30 mins to airport and beach, which is a nice distance. The room was really clean and spacious, the view from window was superb. Staff was super nice and helpful, they promptly respond and assist if there is any issue
location: accessible to most street food, bars, attractions in georgetown!
breakfast: hotel's breakfast buffet is great! For RM35 per pax, it has a huge variety of Malaysian food
room: comes with a ceiling fan and has a great view of the sea
I think this is a very nice hotel to
stay in George Town. Vanue was prefect, it was within walking distance to komtar, shopping, street foods and populor places.
The room was quite spacious and a
