Jeju is a feast for the eyes!
Jeju is a feast for the eyes! We visited in winter and I thought it would be gloomy but I was wrong. During our visit, it's perfectly wintry cold under the sunny skies. We visited UNESCO designated heritages (We got to hike the snowy Hallasan!), museums, parks, beaches, and a ton of restaurants! The food was great! Personally, I think the food and admission fees to the places we visited are affordable and really worth our money. We enjoyed our stay in Jeju a lot that we wish we could've stayed there longer. We will surely be back!

We were visiting in the winter, it wasn't busy and we could get around without any issues. The only day which was more difficult was new years, understandable.
The taxi's are very affordable, often it was cheaper to get a taxi than travel by bus (party of 3).
We found everywhere to be clean and plenty of restrooms.
The downside is that the travel information is often not up to date. We ended up booking a guide one day, if we hadn't two of the attractions we had planned to go to were closed (this was not posted in English anywhere) but the guide knew. One was the Manjanggul Cave, which will be closed for a year by the sounds of it.
The KakaoMap app is handy to workout how to get about and really good for figuring out the buses. KakaoT for taxis, we tried Uber too but it was very hit and miss.
There are a good variety of attractions for all ages. Generally speaking it didn't feel very accessability friendly.
It is worth hiring a guide for a day, not only does it remove the stress of trying to figure everything out but they can also tell you much more about the place than you will get from a guide book.

Jeju Island is nothing short of amazing and beautiful.
Jeju Island is nothing short of amazing and beautiful. My time there felt like a dream, and the only regret I had was that my visit was too short to explore all that this stunning island has to offer. The experience and the feeling of being surrounded by such natural beauty and unique culture are truly one-of-a-kind.
Every corner of Jeju Island seems to be a picturesque postcard waiting to be captured, from its lush landscapes to the breathtaking coastline. I was left in awe of the island's natural wonders, from the volcanic formations to the pristine beaches.
The local culture and warmth of the people added an extra layer of charm to my trip. The island has a distinct character that is both inviting and captivating.
As I left Jeju Island, I couldn't help but wish for an opportunity to return soon. It's a place that leaves an indelibl mark on your heart, and I can't wait to explore more of its wonders in the future."

The list of great things in Jeju is long.
The list of great things in Jeju is long. JeJu city is cool and worth a day or two. Take the city bus tours - one does the city and the other cruises around the coastal parts of the town. It's a hop on and off situation. Then get across to Seogwipo - inexpensive bus from the airport - and bask in the joy of being in this magical seaside town. Give it a few days. The food is amazing everywhere and in this fishing town the seafood is simply amazing. A rental car is a plus at this point as many of the best places need some transportation - do the National Park and the lava tubes as well as some of the more remote beaches. On an island that has 16 million visitors a year it's hard-to-impossible to get into a truly remote beach but then again it's a chance to enjoy people watching in a beautiful place- Koreans do selfies and groupies better than anyone and they appear to absolutely love it.
The location is fantastic. I had a room with the sea view. The waterfront is a great place for walks. it is near a pier dotted with numerous seafood restaurants. Very near the main shopping area (Chilsung shopping area, Jugang underground shopping and Dongmun traditional market) and the Black pork street. I would recommend using this hotel as base camp for the visit of Jeju. The restaurant in the hotel (Seoga & cook) and the cafe (Aslan cafe) are both quite good. Check-out staff was very helpful.
The host speak Korean but its not really hard to understand if you watch a little kdrama before. lol.
Shes friendly and accomodating.
We had to use the washing machine and dryer as we were already on our day 3 in Jeju when we arrived there. She taught us how to use the coin washer.
The hotel located quite secluded from Aewol beach area, but very peaceful and quiet. We thought there could be mosquitoes since it was summer, but we had a pleasant time there, no mosquitoes bites.
The location is excellent, mid in the center of the city, close to Dongmun market with many restaurants, cheap transportation, can be easily reach from Jeju airport by bus, e.g., bus 365 (cash is required without possibility to return the exceeding money so be prepare to have a 1000 KRW notes). Taxi is very cheap, e.g., 5 Euro from hotel to the airport (can pay by card). People are extremely friendly. There are many historically interesting places in the island.
Good location, near to the airport, and you can have an idea why Jeju airport is the busiest airport in the world. Jeju is a big island, so to stroll around it's better to rent a car. Also near to the Dongmun market and the underground mall. By the way, Dongmun was for me the best local Korean market we have been it. The hotel have great facilities, and options for breakfast in a bakery shop located inside. Great ocean view from the room.
The hotel is located at the centre of Jeju city and near the airport (within a 5-minute drive). All the amenities are clean and the rooms are spacious. Even though the breakfast was not included in our package, the hotel still provided handmade sandwiches every morning which brightened up our days!! You will find everything you need for the stay and we would definitely recommend to anyone who would like to stay for a while :)
This is my second time staying at Lotte City Hotel Jeju (my first experience was in 2018). The establishment is well-maintained and the staff were very professional. I felt very safe staying there as it is brightly lighted and situated close to heavy traffic and crowd. It was also very convenient to go from the hotel to other areas of interest via bus/kakao taxi. I also took the free airport bus for my flight to Seoul.
Location is great, near nice beach, and a lot of sightseeing places. I have climbed on the hill, nice view on the city from the peak. A lot of various restaurants near hotel, fish is good.
Hotel itself decent, price to quality ratio is also decent. Rooms are good, all of the needed things included, like air conditioner, light control near bedside, smart tv, that I connect to my smartphone's youtube, super convenient.
The property knows exactly what the guests need: air freshener, loads of toilet paper, towels unlimited,
hair dryer, etc. But what I like most about the place is its clean floors, like no dust sticked on my feet unlike in other hotels I had stayed in Korea before. It’s a quiet place too, I had a good sleep during my 3 nights there. Gonna stay at Yong Stay again when I revisit Jeju.
The hotel is old but well maintained. The room was very clean and everything was working. Additionally I'd like to highlight the wifi that was secured. Many hotels use open wifo that is threat for your security. The location is great too. 2 mins wakling to the market and 10 to the sea (not beach). Considering the price that was the cheapest in the area I think the value is perfect
The hotel is clean, warm and beautiful. The staff were very nice and helpful (especially Helen).
We rented a car and had some problems with it (a warning light turned on), and Helen talked with the Rental company for us, so we were able to enjoy our time with no worries. We will definitely book this hotel again if we would fly to Jeju Island again.
The hotel was selected as close to the airport on Jeju island for our first and last nights. The hotel was comfortable and good value. The staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi for us to the airport. The hotel was also on the bus routes for us to travel to the south of the island easily.
PROPERTY IS HUGE AND SOO MUCH TO DO INSIDE THE HOTEL, CASINO, SHOPPING , RESTURANTS , SPA, SWIMMING IN HEATED POOLS, ROOF TOP BAR OPEN TILL LATE NIGHT AND LIVE DJ ON WEEKENDS
YOU NEED 2 DAYS FOR THE HOTEL AND 2/3 DAYS FOR JEJU SIGHT SEEING SEPARATELY - EXCELLENT PROPERTY
Location- close to the airport. A good “home base” hotel on the north side of the island. Free parking. Right across the road from the water and a dog park/cafe (OEDO 339 cafe).
Comfort- the bed was pretty comfortable. Ocean view room is better kept than Mountain View.
Comfortable, clean and reasonably priced hotel that is located close to bus stops. Only took us 15 minutes to get to the airport by bus. The beds are REALLY comfy! Also, the bathroom is large and equipped with a well-lit mirror, nice soaps, a bathtub and hairdryer.
glad that i have chosen this place to stay in for my second visit to jeju
enjoyed the experience and the places surrounding the hotel
My parents loved it
The store and the restaurant were of great quality
Very per friendly. Spacious rooms. Chicken and beer place and a 7-11 on site. Full functioning kitchen. Location could not have been better for the northwest side of the island.
Everything from the view to the room and the location. I had my doubts about this hotel, but really it exceeded my expectations and will be returning if I ever come back to jeju
Easy access from Jeju Airport. The location is good 10-15 mins from airport, outside hotel there are shops around that you can visit, the room are clean too.
Location is near the Jeju bus terminal. It has a refrigerator in the room. It also has a table and chairs. Room is quite spacious and the price was good.
