Our first night (of the 3 nights) we had a large douvet. However, when the room was cleaned on day 2 it appeared to be changed to 2 single duvets which did not have any covers on them.
Breakfast was great

The Valamar Tirena is a new, fresh, modern and light complex. I had a beautiful bedroom, with wood floors, silent airco, nice bathroom with plenty amenities like hairdryer, soaps. A sliding door to the balcony with 2 chairs, table, rack for airing or drying clothes and a glass partition on the balcony. Curtains that made the room really dark. I liked the bar area, both in lobby and outside. The breakfast room downstairs also had a outside patio and there was plenty of continental and American-style food to have. I loved the pool, with the Olive restaurant next to it and the free towels you get. Very family oriented and all staff were very friendly and kind! It's about 20 min. by public bus to Old Town Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to visit. It is not only steeped in history but the old town has a charm all of its own. Quaint streets with beautiful stone buildings, cobblestone footpaths and many areas to explore. The Rectors Palace is stunning and well worth visiting as is so many of the museums and church's within the walls of the old town. We particularly enjoyed the maritime museum, the aquarium was fabulous especially if you have children. Fort Lovrijenac was also a favourite not only for the Fort itself but the stunning views it gives of the old town in all its glory. From the port in old town you can take one of the many boat excursions. We opted for the ferry to Lokrum Island. There is much to explore on the island from old monasteries to spectacular botanic Gardens and views around every corner. It is also a great place to go swimming be ready to spend a whole day here. We had a wonderful lunch in Lacroma restaurant, 2 courses for €19 with a discount before 12.30. The food was exceptional. Another place that is a must is the Homeland War Museum which sits perched on a hill above Dubrovnik which can be reached by Cable Car, car, taxi. View from here are spectacular and a meal at the Panarama Restaurant tops off the day nicely. Really good food and service here too. There's so much to do in Dubrovnik it's a very special place. If you're adventurous I'd highly recommend Du the Wire 900 metre zipline 4km outside the town. It's an adrenaline rush that is second to none!

Fantastic city with lots of history and well preserved...
Fantastic city with lots of history and well preserved historical buildings in the old city. Great bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours. Eating out can be quite pricey in thr old town. Easy to walk around, cheap and plentiful local buses. Hop on hop off buses a great way to get lay of the land. Plenty beaches close by. Cable car up to Mount SRD was great and gave jaw dropping views of the city from 450m above. Options of Zip line and sky bike, as well as buggy tours and hiking trails mean something for everyone. Advised best time to visit is May and September when air and sea temperature the same (25/25) and only like this for a 3 week window. Very busy between June to August. Plenty options for day trips to outlying islands and further afield. Local people were very friendly and happy to speak English.

Dubrovnik is beautiful, full of history and culture.
Dubrovnik is beautiful, full of history and culture. Plenty of beautiful beaches, amazing restaurants and cafe/bars.
We went to Banje beach, which was very busy but was easy to get a spot with a towel.
The Dubrovnik city pass is €35 and gets you entrance to multiple attractions, worth it if you want to go to any of the museums, city walls, fort and rector’s palace. Beware if you buy a day pass that certain attractions are closed on certain days!!
We ate at Konoba Koloseum, we had rib-eye steak and cuttlefish risotto.
We also ate at Barba, and had the platter for 2 people.
We ate on Lokrum island at Lacroma, and had the meat pasta and the fish stew. The menu was different to online.
Cocktails at all cafes/bars were expensive, and spirits don’t include the cost of a mixer.
The old town is very busy, even in May. Attractions such as the city walls were very busy so going early is a must!
Warning: There are lots and lots of steps in Dubrovnik!!

What a beautiful little city.
What a beautiful little city. Everyone is super friendly and warm. Too many gelato options which were all great! Views are incredible everywhere you go, and the beaches are nice (although some pebbly). Overall 100% recommend for a fun and relaxing trip. Lots to do and lots to see in the old town so make sure you get the 1/3/5 day pass. Good transport system and very safe as we stayed out past midnight and it was still full in the city and people getting gelato and we got the bus everywhere.
Restaurant More was lovely for food and views. Gradska Kavana Arsenal the food was incredible and very affordable plus the views too. We didn’t have a single bad meal, everything was delicious and well flavoured! it was just a great wonderful trip and can’t wait to go back with friends and family!

Lots to do in this place.
Lots to do in this place. You have the Old Town but if possible avoid mid June to end of August (hard if you work in a school) because the area is uncomfortably packed with massive crowds by all accounts. Lapad area is not far away and has everything you need including loads of eateries, lovely walks and general amenities. No. 6 bus takes you direct to Pile Gates in the Old Town. Cavtat is also on my list but sadly not on this visit. Boat trips aplenty to the Elaphiti Islands on a choice of sailing vessels.

It is a very beautiful city however very busy even in May.
I would recommend the boat trip to Lokrum island . The cable car trip was great with amazing views from mount srd.
I would stress that the whole are (apart from the old walled town) is quite hilly so pack your walking shoes.
This is a really new and nice apartment. It is one of the best ones we have ever rented. It is like a 5 stars hotel, just with the comfort of your home. The parking place on the roof of the building with the background of Dubrovnik's harbor is simply awesome. I recommend to all men to take the opportunity and make some pictures of your car. :)
Additionally, the Host is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for the best accommodation in Dubrovnik for your money this one is definitely should be considered.
The view overlooking the sea is beautiful, especially at sunset. Most (if not all) of the rooms have a seaside view with a balcony. We were really lucky to receive a last minute upgrade when checking in and our room was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Such a lovely hotel to spend our last few days in Dubrovnik and there is also a bus that leaves directly outside the hotel that takes you into the Dubrovnik old town (this is free if you buy the Dubrovnik pass). .
Nothing more could be added to what has already been said about the apartment: 5 star +.
The inclusion of a couple of sun lounges would have been nice though as a few hours in the day were spent enjoying the superb vista.
For us, the best way to Dubrovnik Old Town was via the steps on `PUT OD BOSANKE` - just across from the taxi rank at the entrance to the town. After every 2nd step there`s a 2mtr long flat part that allows you to take a breather.....or to step aside for younger ones to overtake!
Blue Promenade was charming, private, clean and comfortable. The host, Iva, was terrific and gave us great advice on things to do and restaurants to go to and how best to get everywhere.
The apartment had a well equipped kitchen (with a washing machine!). bathroom and free Netflix.
Iva left delicious fruit, apple juice and candy treats. All which we enjoyed. We liked being out of the old town where we could walk the promenade and see another part of Dubrovnik life.
This nice place is just a 15 minute drive from the old town of Dubrovnik. We liked that it was some distance away from the center, because DBV can be very crowded and this place is not. The hotel provides everything one could ever want. Everything is nice and in good condition, the staff are super friendly, breakfast was delicious. The hotel has a very nice private beach and comes with several restaurants nearby and a lot of sport activities.
The location is perfect, inside the walls but no need to walk many stairs to reach the house. So you get the best of both worlds here. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Even if we stayed only 2 nights there, the host kindly left us 2 sets of towels for each which came in handy. The host gave us a warm welcome at our arrival. This place is perfect for a short stay in Dubrovnik if you want to stay inside the Old Town.
Location was fabulous. Just a few steps from the main gate into old town Dubrovnik. Our host was a most lovely lady who spoke a little English and kept calling us "my darlings". So sweet. Did her best to make us feel welcome. We arrived late at night around 10pm from the ferry from Hvar. The room was on the ground floor which was a blessing in that we didn't have to lug our luggage us narrow stairs to the third level.
Beautiful location and perfectly placed for walks and the beach. Access to Dubrovnik Old Town was just a 10 minute walk to a bus stop. The hotel staff were friendly and charming - nothing was too much trouble . The food was delicious and breakfast was varied and sitting out on the terrace was a delight.
Our room was on the top floor and was huge with a hot tub on a stunning balcony overlooking the sea.
Location of the studio is unbeatable for the old town views. We stayed 4 nights and just couldn’t stop complimenting this place for having the view of Dubrovnik old town. The Lady Pi-Pi restaurant next to the studio has the best seafood platter for two with by far the best price we found in the old town. Be there early to beat the crowds.
Perfect location very short walk to the old town if you don’t mind the long stairs. It is a three star hotel so can’t complain too much about it. It is cheap in Dubrovnik sense but still quite expensive for a three star hotel. Anyway it offers all the basic things so can’t complain too much about it. It is clean and that is a plus👍
Hotel Stari Grad is in the old town of Dubrovnik, which meant we saw the old town at sunrise and sunset. So much better than staying outside. This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The staff were always attentive and the breakfast are amazing. There is a wonderful view from the roof top dining area.
Wonderful hosts and apartment. Beautiful view, and quiet area.very nice, large terrace. Directly above Banje beach, and short walk to old town. Plenty of stairs, but that is everywhere in Dubrovnik. Much prefer this area over old town or lapad. This is where all the newer, hi end hotels are.
The Byron is a lovely hotel in a great location in the old town of Dubrovnik. The rooms were very spacious and decorated beautifully. The staff was great and extremely helpful. There was no breakfast at the hotel, but we ate at a fantastic restaurant nearby.
The hotel made our stay. We stayed an extra three nights so that we could enjoy Dubrovnik. The swimming pool and sea access provided much needed relaxation. Old town was about a six minute walk away. The hotel and staff were excellent.
The location in great if you’re in town to see the old town of Dubrovnik. The walk down to the the walled city is only about 25 minutes or the bus stop is very close to the hotel if you’re tired from exploring all day.
Ana was an excellent and attentive host. We felt like in a brand new 5 stars hotel room, parking place is very convenient and very appreciated for Dubrovnik. A pleasant 15 minutes walk to the old city with nice views.
5 Star Host. Arranged Airport transfer, met me at the Dubrovnik Gate and walked me to the apartment inside the city walls, toured the apartment upon checkin, and suggested things to do within the old town.
