The bar/catering staff made the stay much better than the quality of the room and venue. The younger staff need to take a leaf from the cocktail bar senior person who was extremely helpful and resolved the only issue I had with real character.
The hotel is in a very quiet and peaceful setting.

Nicola was always on call for any queries, she had those extra special touches in the cottage, like needles and threads, cotton buds, etc, games, books, dvd, leaflets. Quirky cosy cottage.

Perfect little cottage, spotlessly clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay; we loved it and will come again!! Brilliant location, close to town, but in a quiet street with very little noise. Charlie is an amazing host and was really helpful.

Lovely helpful staff, fantastic breakfast even for special dietary needs. A simple and clean and quiet room, suitable for a short stay. Easy parking. Great to find somewhere that isn't a concrete tower block!

THE LOCATION IS VERY CONVENIENT FOR US VISITING FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN THE AREA.
THERE IS A PUB ON SITE WHICH IS FAR ENOUGH AWAY NOT TO CAUSE ANY DISRUPTION BUT CLOSE ENOUGH TO ENJOY.
Beautiful place to stay within nature.
Friendly staff and open fires and places to sit.
Cafetière coffee would have been nice rather than machine.
Dinners were really lovely and beautifully cooked.

I am biased as my father was born and bred in Otley so it will always be a special place even though we now live a hundred miles away. Otley has beautiful alley ways and guinnels winding through its centre. The river area is wonderful for families and the little independent shops are a treat. Eating out is not a problem and the pubs are numerous. We met some warm and welcoming Yorkshire folk.

OTLEY is a very interesting city.
OTLEY is a very interesting city. Lovely river walks and plenty of historic interest. You can see where Thomas Chippendale, the world famous cabinet maker lived. Also the fascinating Archimedes Screw hydroelectric power plant that used to power the paper mill and now providing electricity to the grid. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Nearby is the Chevin Country Park and Forest walks with spectacular views of OTLEY.

Our accommodation was perfect for us with plenty of space for my wheelchair and accessible showers. Nothing was too much to ask for and friendly genuine staff.
The town of Otley had a variety of shops to browse and some nice pubs we really love The Fleece as there food is so delicious they were also very accommodating to my extra needs in wheelchair without any fuss. Otley is easy to find on one of the main routes toward Harrogate. There is a market square with regular market weekly. A very old town well worth a stop off.

We found it very difficult to find an inn serving evening food on the first 2 days of our stay. Several outlets were closed or were take-away only. We visited 3 sites on our first night all of which had kitchens that were closed. There were few restaurants open on the Tuesday. We did however eventually find one lovely restaurant in the town centre. Others were fully booked later in the week So to future visitors, make sure you have either: accommodation that is definitely offering food, or you have a meal booked somewhere before you arrive.

I grew up in the area so am biased.
I grew up in the area so am biased. Good base for exploring the surrounding area. Beautiful countryside side with lots of areas of outstanding natural beauty to visit. Lovely market towns and easy reach to Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate. People are friendly and helpful
The traffic in Otley can be very busy the only downfall.
Cafes, Pubs & Restaurants in abundance. Couple of my favourites The Fleece & Mill bar & Bistro.
The host, Nicky, welcomed us when we arrived. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning to help with covid safety. The accommodation was the best we had all holiday, and a perfect last day before travelling home. Set in a beautiful location with great views over the countryside and a dog friendly pub serving good food a few yards away, we can thoroughly recommend this place, and intend to visit again.
The cottage is picturesque- wooden beams above the doorways, stone stairs and fireplaces, cozy without feeling small.
It is in a great location with a supermarket and a pub (which does excellent food!) just minutes away, and Otley centre in easy walking distance. Although it’s near a road you don’t hear any traffic through the windows.
The bed was very comfortable and I had a few good night’s sleep!
Lovely little place right in centre of otley. Great price considering it can sleep up to 4. Really easy to find and very informative welcome guide from the host. We went to a wedding at the Chilli barn which was only a few min taxi ride down the ride. Definitely ideal for staying in Otley.
This was an incredibly comfortable apartment. I stayed for 5 nights while attending a conference in Leeds. It was close to the bus station with a quick bus to downtown but also had access to the good food and many pubs of Otley. It is also minutes walk away from a grocery store.
Staff were excellent, the location is good. The hotel is in fabulous grounds, unfortunately it is very very tired lots of things not working or broken in the rooms. Carpets in general areas very dirty and worn. The meal on the first night was grossly overpriced ..
Lovely location in West Yorkshire near OTLEY. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Delicious full English breakfast. Room with en suite bathroom very clean. Balcony overlooking countryside. Very near Chevin Forest walks. The Chevin pub next door!
Staff were very helpful and accommodating and suggested a great sightseeing opportunity at Chevin Tops. Interesting view from room. Yummy breakfast with various options eg: omelette or vegetarian full breakfast.
the food in the restaurant was amazing, the bar area was very cosy - made up for the 'lodge' which is just a double bed in a room very disappointed for what you pay,
The room has been allocated to someone else before I arrived at the hotel. The General manager has promised a refund but up till today I have not been refunded.
Enjoyed our stay at Chevin End, loved the place and the area. Great breakfast and lovely people.
Good base for seeing the beautiful villages and the moors.
