Lovely hosts, very friendly and attentive. The B & B is beautiful, well cared for and maintained, room was very spacious, well decorated with lovely furniture and a super comfy bed and pillows. Good shower and very large bath sheets. Breakfast was exceptional with all local produce. Wonderful stay couldn't have asked for more. 3 pubs in the village that we saw and a lovely tea room with great food.

Great location in the centre of Leyburn, with free parking in front (you can make a donation if you want to) of the venue. Lots of shops, and other pubs and restaurants nearby. The service at the hotel was excellent, the room, No3, was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. Nice bar, with a good choice of beers, with Sky TV. Breakfast was superb and a good choice of different things to eat as well. I really enjoyed my stay.

Staff are fantastic. Coped with our late returns and couldn't do enough to help and ensure we were fed and watered. Very busy in the main pub on bank holiday weekend, but great and welcoming atmosphere. Beds were comfy. bathroom very small, but adequate.
This spot is a little gem of a find! We enjoyed our stay so much and felt pampered by the staff and facilities the entire time. Such a beautiful surroundings and grounds. We enjoyed our stay very much---would highly recommend!

I would highly recommend the Coverbridge Inn that you can walk along the river to probably about 2 miles away. This pub is friendly and a traditional pub with great ales and delicious home cooked food

Picturesque little market village with the added interest of several race horse stables in the location.
A walk up to the gallops early in the morning to watch the horses train is definitely worthwhile, as is a visit to the medieval castle.

Visited The Forbidden Corner which was great fun.
Visited The Forbidden Corner which was great fun. We had a light lunch at the cafe on site, which was nicely presented. Evening meal was taken at the Three Horseshoes which was about a 15 minute drive away. Called in at Aysgarth Waterfalls on the way home the following day. The Forbidden Corner was very busy as it was the school holidays, however as visits are timed, I think this helps when planning a visit.

Middleham is a lovely place to stay if you like history as...
Middleham is a lovely place to stay if you like history as there is Middleham Castle right there, plus a lovely mediaeval church, St Mary's and St Akelda's. It's not far to many other great locations such as Aysgarth Falls (where the fight scene in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves was filmed), Bolton Castle, Jerveaulx Abbey, Fountains Abbey, Sheriff Hutton, Ripon, etc. The only negative is that it is sometimes difficult to get a late meal in Middleham itself, however there are plenty of other eating places nearby if you have a car. The Richard III B&B does do great food and the fish and chip shop is also very good. It is hilly, so be prepared to huff and puff up the hill to the castle! And, if you have kids, don't miss The Forbidden Corner - the weirdest place on earth - only about 3 miles away. Set aside about four hours!
Wesley Cottage is an absolute gem, situated in the center of a charming North Yorkshire Village. It was so cozy but with all modern conveniences. The beds and linens were exceptionally comfortable. The property has been beautifully renovated and restored.
The hosts were gracious and very helpful when we had questions. My friend and I were feeling under the weather one night, and Greg even went to the town grocery store for us to get some provisions for us for the night and following morning.
I hope to return to Wesley Cottage again soon!
Great building in fabulous setting in middle of nowhere and so quite. Nice to have a choice of real cask beers. Excellent restaurant, very atmospheric with outstanding food, steak was exceptional as was breakfast. Very well equipped and presented rooms.
Plenty of walking routes available directly from the hotel into the surrounding countryside and horse gallops.
We have visited Middleham for many years but only just found this gem of a place. Sarah and Chris were fabulous hosts and nothing was too much to ask. It’s dog friendly and Toby even got a sausage at breakfast. I would definitely recommend a soak in the huge copper bath! We’ve certainly found our number 1 place to escape to!
Absolutely incredible staff, felt like our friends when we left! Hotel was in perfect location, with free parking just outside. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food (both breakfast and dinner) were amazing!
Big shout out to Monty and Hugo for making our little trip unforgettable.
Can't wait to stay there again!
Absolutely loved our weekend break at the Annexe.
The host Hayley has thought of everything and the accommodation inside and out if beautiful.
10/10 from us and we have booked to go back in June.
Scenic and peaceful location.
Close walking distance to the centre of Middleham.
Loved the castle!
Absolutely everything. The cottage is immaculate, great location with parking right outside. The cottage backs on to Middleham Castle, so great views. Recommendations for pubs/restaurants/taxis were appreciated. Would come back in a heartbeat and will be sharing this place with family and friends.
A really lovely cottage in a perfect location to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Located in Middleham it was very easy to get to many places of interest in and around the Dales. My wife called it ‘The Mary Poppins Cottage’ as it was practically perfect in every way. Highly recommended.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was lovely and in a great location. An excellent little addition having a paddling pool in the beer garden! Amazing breakfast. Overall lovely experience.
Nice location in the centre of Middleham with easy access to all facilities. Comfortable beds & well stocked kitchen. Dog friendly cottage with all local pubs accepting dogs.
