The owners and staff are amazing. It is such a relaxing and peaceful place. Food is also lovely. Room is clean and regularly checked by staff. The history of the place is fascinating. The grounds are lovely to walk around. Would highly recommend The Roman Camp. We have been here numerous times for 5 days at a time

Very comfortable and nicely furnished room (no 6). Good location only a few minutes walk from the centre of Callander. Good off-road car parking in front of the property and safe for motorcycles if touring. Very nice bar area with a huge choice of whisky as well as other drinks. Very good breakfast in a nice dining area and great service from the owners.
Overall an excellent B&B which we would highly recommend and we would definitely return if in the Callander area.

Host went above and beyond for personal touches. I had mentioned we were there for my friend’s birthday and we went back out and came back to a wee tray with a card and 2 mini bottles of Prosecco and chocolates. My friend really appreciated that thought.

Callander is fantastic, we love it so much we keep going back. Very friendly people, wonderful location, great eating at the pubs and restaurants, and you have local shops to purchase what you need. My only thing is be mindeful of where your staying as if you need peace and quiet ask what time the music finishes....just saying. Callander is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and walks. The fisheries are beautiful, plenty of benches to sit at and walks around it. I had a fish supper from the Frying Dutchman which was superb, and the second night ate at The Riverside Inn which was equally as delicious. All very good prices. The Roman Camp Hotel is where his parents met in 1940, and he was keen to spend one night there en route to meet the group of friends he was holidaying with in Lochearnside.
