It was definitely only very simple as described but you weren’t even able to drink water from the taps and besides going to the bar during ‘business hours’ had no other options, even a communal area to make a cup of tea would have been amazing. Doors all need a good hit of WD40! We stayed on a Sat night and I loved listening to the live music in the bar and it was great it stopped at 10.30pm.

The provided resources were clean, and the rental of additional towels and linens were very cheap.
The room was minimally furnished, but this was within my expectations for a hostel. so quite nice.

View is fantastic. Very peaceful amongst bush setting …wallaby at our window in morning. Very nice and comfortable room.

I loved the hidden beach behind the town.
I loved the hidden beach behind the town. Its a drive away from the 12 apostles, waterfalls etc, but its still a great place to stay and look around for a bit. It was super calm and quiet but there were also streets full of people and cafees.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

The beach walk is excellent and you can watch, or join in with, the surfers. There is also a very nice golf course near the marina. If you want yo bbq there are plenty of places to just set up and go with the bbq’s ready to go. The shops are good and the restaurants are very nice. The town is also home to the Southern most pub in Sustralia, where you can get a very nice meal.

The location is good and close to the beach. However, the facilities lack maintenance and rooms have broken furnitures ( pictures annexed) our toilet had a large spider net in the window (inside). Beautiful beaches - be sure to walk along Marengo beach. Day trippers make lunchtime busy in town. Great fish & chips, oysters, scallops & crayfish at harbour (10% surcharge on weekends!). Good fresh fish and yummy seafood starters at fish shop. Good Italian.MelissaTurkey

Their manager is very friendly and very enthusiastic to help you meet all your needs. There is a fireplace in the room, which makes the family particularly cozy in the evening. In addition, the hotel provides free rental of rubber boats and fishing gear, and there are also fishing spots nearby, which is very attractive. The motel was also conveniently situated right in the heart of Apollo Bay across the road from a good Italian restaurant. The receptionist was helpful in providing local area information. I imagine it would be a great place to stay in summer.
