This is a traditional homestay and vietnamese restaurant located in the nature, away from the ugly city of Cat Ba. Here you will find peace and quiet in the zen garden with tropical plants, cats and chickens. The house was spacious, clean, with huge bathroom, comfy bed and a terrace. The food in the restaurant was amazing! Actually the best food we had in our trip in Vietnam. A lot of homemade and delicious vegan choices and fresh local seafood which is the highlight. You need a motorbike to visit the national park and the beaches but you can rent one in the guest house with 100.000 dong/ day. Also you can arrange your Lan ha bay cruise here, with minimal effort as they pick you up from the guest house in the morning and drop you off in the evening, with no need to search for agencies in the touristic port of Cat ba.. The prices are everywhere the same. The family who runs this place is extremely kind, attentive and always smiling. This romantic homestay is ideal for couples, families and travellers who love nature and are looking for a pure experience in the rural side of Vietnamese life. We absolutely loved this place and the hosts!!!

The staff were so friendly and helpful for our whole stay. We hired a scooter at short notice and ate there at least once a day, the food was great. The private room accomodation is spacious and great value for money. It's away from the main town so very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature and close to the national park hikes and caves. Highly recommended.

The room is large enough, the beds comfy, sitting area outside etc. All simple, but tastefully done. Everyday another breakfast, all yummy. Phuong arranged our laundry, a scooter and tips where to eat/ go as well as our bus ride to Ninh Binh. She is the most lovely host there is! The homestay is a short 5 minute scooter drive from the busy town center.

Especially the entry to the National Park trails is very close by. The host family were amazing helping us with information about the island, pick up and drop offs and booking our bus back to Hanoi.
