Overall this hotel is amazing. I usually go to Nusa Lembongan for beautiful ocean views and clean water, but it's right here, just 90 minutes from Ubud! The town doesn't have much, so would not recommend for a long stay, but it's absolutely wonderful for a peaceful getaway.
Pros:
-Absolutely STUNNING views and grounds (every room is an ocean view)
- Quiet, peaceful, gorgeous pool, lots of sun (even in rainy season)
- Wonderful, friendly staff
- Very clean rooms, each with a little patio and chairs
- Literally steps to the ocean, and the beach is clean
Relaxing beachside massages and sun-filled afternoons with water sports activities await at Bali Shangrila Beach Club.

Absolutely lovely place right on the beach! So peaceful and beautiful. The entire staff were absolutely wonderful, so kind and friendly and helpful in every way possible. They made us feel so welcome and happy to be there. The food was very good at the restaurant. The view from pool and lawn chairs was amazing. Sunsets awesome! Our room was huge and had a small kitchenette which was very convenient and a balcony with a beautiful ocean view.

You wouldn't notice there's actually a homestay inside since you have to come thru a restaurant/bakery but it was quite enjoyable. Rooms felt really private and quiet. The room and bed was really comfy and spacious. Location is unbeatable on the heart of Candidasa.

We stayed here for its proximity to Padang Bay where we had a ferry to Gili T. It is a quite nice place! So calm, surrounded by palm trees and right next to the ocean. If you like nature you'll like this place.

Wonderful starting base for exploring quiet beaches, waterfalls, forest. A visit to the oldest traditional village with traditional handicrafts was exceptional for me. Virgin Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali. Prices are much lower than in others tourist regions.

This is a sweet town. We came here specifically to experience Nyepi day and the festivals leading upto Nyepi. Ogoh-Ogoh parade was awesome.

Its a small village, one street lined with Warungs, a main supermarket Gemini, two smaller Alfa Marts and tourist shops selling clothing, wooden goods and local Bali souvenirs. Crossing the road is a challenge as the road is a main route from West to East and vice versa. The lily ponds towards the East of the village are very pretty, with the rice fields at the western end of the village, other than dicing with the traffic by day its a quiet village with friendly locals. Most of the Warungs further away from accommodation will offer free pick up and drop off. We ate at Lu Putu, Le Zat, Kangaroo bar all with pick up and went to Bali Palms with pick up when the NO Nekos Band were playing. A trip to Amed and Virgin beach for snorkeling, Water and Floating Palace then relaxing massage with the calming sound of the sea at the resort! Oh and a trip to Monkey Bar with its amazing infinity pool, Buddha statue situated up in the hills!

Staying @ Ganesh Lodge was absolutely fantastic.
Staying @ Ganesh Lodge was absolutely fantastic. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty. My husband left his shoes behind and they went out of their way to return them. Can't recommend them highly enough absolutely fantastic.
The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to organize drivers/scooter rentals and ensure we had a great stay. The owner, Mangku, seems to know everyone in the village and had great connections and recommendations. The property was lovely with beautiful landscaping, a pool, and private cottages with Balinese design and spacious balcony. It was walking distance (~25-30mins) from Virgin Beach where you can get great food and relax. Also very central location for exploring cultural sites in the area.
The property was great. We loved it. If the rest of the family came we would have had the place to ourselves. It is small and quaint. Very quiet and the feel of the place is amazing. It has that real Bali feel. With beautiful gardens. 6 small bungalows. One family bungalow and one private pool villa. I booked family and 2 other bungalows. It was perfect. Staff weren’t in your face. But not hard to find if you had any questions or problems.
Don’t expect everything you get in chain hotels. But perfect for for relaxation.
Great resort. Staff were exceptional. Robby in the restaurant was wonderful and the owner gave great recommendations for day trips and good places to eat. Easy walk into the middle of Candidasa. Villa was huge, beds comfy, good lounge and loved our own pool. Breakfast was very good, I enjoyed the range and the daily specials were delicious. Main pool and seating area was gorgeous and filled with frangipani trees. Do yourself a favor and visit their B Spa, Made does a great massage. Can’t wait to visit again.
Everything.
The design of the restaurant and the view from the step to the infinity pool and the ocean is absolutely gorgeous!
The breakfast is probably the cherry on top with a good buffet with iced lemon tea on demand and homemade jam which are amazing 😍
I can only recommend this place. Great location if you want to visit the East of Bali.
If that's not enough the best Warung (BUDIAYU) of the island is next to the hotel
I loved my stay at Bali Santi Bungalows!! The bungalow was beautiful, really clean and super comfy (I loved the outdoors bathroom!) and the hotel facilities were fantastic with direct access from the swimming pool to the beach. We also tried the massages at the spa and it was excellent. The hotel is located in a very nice area not overcrowded but with many cool places to visit nearby!
The hotel is very nice and clean. Staff and management were very good. Our room had a Beautiful view from the ocean. Hotel is ocean front and local people come by. so, we were able to connect with a local person to take us for snorkeling which was great and the man was a very nice person. The rating on Booking is 4 which we thought it is not quiet there for the price.
i loved this place because they have gorgeous beach view. i think you can chill here without going another beach! i saw baby turtle in nearest sea.
and the accomodation is traditional balinese, so i feel speciality of bali!
workers are so nice, kind!
if i got a goos memory in this hotel, i like to comwback once again!
Overlooking the ocean, restaurant had reasonable prices, pool towels supplied. Adequate toiletries. Happy hour was great! Staff were exceptional special shout out to Yoyo and Lulu and all of Bali Palms Resort staff you made our stay memorable. Live band on Tuesday and Fridays made for a great evening.
What a wonderful time we had at this beautiful vila. Thank you for a lovely stay at real Bali experience villa. It’s truly a lovely villa, nicely kept clean and wonderfully decorated, garden and pool always in perfect condition, the food and service truly outstanding
This place is beautiful and comfortable! It was one of the best places I stayed during my trip to Bali. Everyone that works there is wonderful, kind, and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is fantastic. Highly recommend!
The hotel has a great location. The best possible.
The outside area is very pleasant with garden, pool and access to the sand when the tide is low. It has a very familiar and relaxing atmosphere. Very recommended for families.
Was a great stopping point to east Bali.
The staff were welcoming and pleasent.
Even took me to the local medical centre for my chest cold.
Villa is right on a small black sand beach.
Breakfast was great cooked by staff.
The family run property was traditionally balianese right on the beach from where you could watch to local traditional fisherman at work. Room was clean with an amazing view.
The location is incredible, with the closest you'll get to a private white sand beach in Bali, and the grounds are immaculately landscaped and very spacious.
Lovely rooms and setting. A perfect spot to explore Eastern Bali. Tastefully landscaped. Excellent service. Comfortable rooms, all with outdoor terrace.
