The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They organised a transfer for us for the day we left and provided us with coffee and a sandwich as we were leaving before breakfast.
The position of the hotel was quiet but not to far to walk to the attractive old town.
The pool though small was very relaxing as we had it to ourselves.
The breakfast was very nice. We chose yoghurt pancakes/muesli which came with a plate of fresh fruit and real honeycomb. But there was a range of other options.

Bansko is a city that captures the heart with its stunning...
Bansko is a city that captures the heart with its stunning beauty, effortlessly blending picturesque landscapes with the quaint charm of its streets. However, visitors should be wary of the numerous tourist traps that dot the city, often overshadowing its genuine offerings. Despite this, with a bit of diligence and local insight, one can uncover hidden gems like the small family-run 'mexana' we were fortunate to find. Serving homemade food with warmth and authenticity, it stood out as a beacon of traditional hospitality amidst a sea of commercialized eateries.
On the flip side, the popularity of Bansko's ski slopes comes with its own set of challenges, notably the excessive queues for the gondola lift, which can significantly dampen the skiing experience. Opting for a bus ride to the slopes proved to be a wise decision, bypassing the long wait and leading us directly to the well-maintained pistes. While Bansko offers much in terms of scenic beauty and skiing opportunities, visitors must navigate its less appealing aspects to fully enjoy what this charming city has to offer.

We didn`t know Bansko was so popular with the British 19/ 30 groups so when we arrived (09.00 o`clock in the eving we were shocked by noise and amount of drunken people in the streets and bars. I is like Benidorm in Spain. Bansko is to big for her wintersport facilities so the skilifts were totally overrrun and the lower pistes were way to busy. Up 3 hours waiting time on some days on the gondola. Prices for ski passes, equipment rental etc are really ok . Altough the pistes are nice they were way to busy. Food in restaurants and drinks are way overpriced.
We enjoy the breakfast, it was delicious.
In the dinner it was good too but for muslims it is not allowed to eat pork meat, so mostly meat was from pork there. So I recommended to serve different meat in the dinner.
The city it wasn't far, so we don't have to take taxi to visit city.
Hotel was clear and it was so good that a van transport us to ski resort, and he came back to take us.
The hospitality was great from staff of hotel.
And the staff did a good service for us, they allowed to have late check out just for 10 euros.
We were family with 4 (adults) of what 3 (me and kids) are advanced skiers and one (my wife) not so. Skiing was enjoyable mostly as there was no big que on Gondola and slops were really nice, until afternoon when they get damaged due to worm weather. Hotel was on nice upper location, enabling long walks through the woods in free time, which was exceptional. Also swimming pool and jakuzi were with hot spa water were delightful.
Night clubs are worth to visit.
Great hotel- we stayed in 2 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. There was a shuttle to Gondola lift every 20 min. Food was OK-ish for us. Spa can get quite busy, especially after 5pm. Staff were really nice and friendly. They even allowed me to use spa facilities before check in( quite normal in other countries but not so much in Bulgaria). I would definitely return in this hotel and recommend it.
The facilities of this hotel are very good: piscina, sauna, restaurant, parking space etc. We had a two bedroom villa with large living room and a nice terrace; the furniture and amenities were high quality. Breakfast at the restaurant had plenty of options to choose from.
Dobrinitshe is a small village close to Bansko (10 mins drive by car) and has the advantage that everything is significantly less expensive: e.g. food, ski equipment rental.
As we visited during down season, we were upgrades from a hotel room to a 1 bed apartment so amazing value for money. Spa was very quiet during this time too. Breakfast was ordered from a menu, though it looks like it's normally a buffet, I guess it makes more money sense with so few guests not to put on a buffet. In the non-ski season, the location is a little out of the way of most things, but we didn't mind the walk into town.
The apartment, the SPA and the hotel itself were very very very clean. The hygiene was at its best. The suite was very comfortable and cozy. One of the best things was that there was a laundry machine available in the suite and we had no problems with wet or smelly ski clothes. The rooms were enough heated and the laundry dried in one night. The views of Pirin and the golf course were spectacular.
The room is cozy and we could actually get some good sleep.
The spa was great and relaxing.
The food for the all inclusive was the best we've had in a spa hotel.
I'm most happy with the warm greetings and responses from the staff. The ladies and gentlemen did a fantastic job with their attitude towards us and we appreciate it a lot.
Thank you all!
The hotel is located 20 metres from the ski slope, close to the gondola.
Staff was nice and welcoming, even though not everyone spoke English (the guy that waited for us to check in at 8 pm did not speak a word of English, but the reception left a note for us with all necessary info).
The ski room was very useful.
The room was clean.
A very clean and quiet room with balcony and mountain view. The host is very kind and helpful. Good and filling breakfast, the hotel has an elevator and a ski room. And another good thing, they provide free shuttle to gondola! I forgot to mention that they have spa.
Spacious and comfortable room. Very clean overall and very nice staff, especially the cook at the breakfast. The breakfast was by far the best I had in Bulgaria and the spa was what you would expect at a 5 star hotel, but nothing too fancy.
Simply the best place I have ever stayed in Bulgaria. The views, the comfort of the room, the luxury of the spa, private mineral water jacuzzi. The staff are beyond helpful and hard working. I would love to stay at Tia Maria year round :)
Very Close to the ski road/gondola (absolutely brilliant so you won't have to go with car or anything, you just go across the main road near the hotel and put your skis/board and on to the gondola ), Spa, Room, Pool, Parking.
Great breakfast, the best you can have in Bansko!
free parking, wonderful lobby bar, very clean hotel at all!
Great spa!
Bell boy Musa is the best among the staf, he helps you in everything!
I will go back to this hotel!
Good breakfast, big and clean rooms, nice and helpful staff, ski-shuttle was a very nice deal, for the gondola and for the mountain also, a nice experience overall. cozy lounge, good services at the hotel bar.
The hotel spa center is fantastic with a wide selection of options to choose from. The kids play room is great. The breakfast is rich and very good. The fondu restaurant is a great option for a good dinner.
Very clean, stuff was polite and friendly very good facilities. Pool and spa was excellent. Also 3 different restaurants was in the hotel so did have to go outside. Plus is the bus from and to ski slopes.
I always come to Bulgaria and the first hotel that I go is kempinski at bansko.
