The cottage is privately located with rural outlook and mountain view. It had everything we needed. There is no TV or internet, which made for a more peaceful and relaxing stay. Ohakune is only a short drive away, via a backroad. Great base to enjoy this special part of the country.

Being located in Ohakune was great as there is a good variety of stores, cafes, gas stations, restaurants and bars, along with a supermarket (New World). Ohakune is only 40 minutes drive from Whakapapa Village and 25 minutes from Turoa Ski fields. We had some of the largest and best kebabs at Mountain Kebabs which has been in the same hands for the last 30 years! I suggest just one regular for most, but if you have a large appetite, try the large, you won't be disappointed. Ohakune Hot tubs is also a nice place to unwind. Wood fired hots tubs for up to 4 people, but better shared with two in my opinion, but I'm larger than the average human. The house itself was modern, well equipped, very clean, and our host Ash was helpful to a fault. Loved the little touches like LED lights "Kia ora" and "Dream a little Dream" which you could unplug if keeping you awake. We did not get to use the outdoor setting due to being in winter, nor the BBQ but they were there if needed. Thanks again Ash, will recommend to our friends.

Contando con una tina de hidromasaje, Junction Gem está ubicado en Ohakune. The accommodation was just as advertised and of a high standard. We were very comfortable. The host was available to answer any questions we had. The stay was a highlight of our trip and we recommend without reservation

Waiora lodge está situado en Ohakune, a 29 km de Mount Ruapehu, y cuenta con hospedaje con un jardín, una terraza, instalaciones para parrilladas y WiFi gratis. Greeted by Host Bernie on arrival, which was lovely. House it self was perfect for our group and well equipped. Not to mention the location itself was amazing and peaceful. We absolutely loved out stay so much that we will definitely be back.

A lovely house with three full sized bedrooms, comfy beds and great water pressure! The kitchen had everything needed for breakfast and simple dinners. Heat pump and electric blankets worked perfectly! 2 minute walk from pizzeria and a 5 min walk from some trails.
