This is a great place for a couple who want to chill out or use it as a base to explore Ireland. The host really made us comfortable without intruding and we had everything and more that we needed. Simple things like condiments, bathroom basics and logs for the fire - all really useful things. We liked the isolated location and the log fire as well. It's basically a studio bungalow, for want of a better description - so perfect for a couple.

The property is central to Castlepollard and has all amenities nearby. The house was equipped with all electrics and was very clean. The hosts were very friendly when in contact and there was tea, coffee and food left out——it was very hospitable. I would highly recommend it.

Marianne Cottage at Johnsfort está ubicado en Ráistín, a 14 km de Monasterio de Kells, a 14 km de Iglesia de St. Everything! The cottage is over 200 years old and is located on a small farm with lots of animals. The hostess was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, interesting and all around awesome. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. I was able to bottle feed a lamb and we collected fresh eggs from the hens for breakfast. We enjoyed the cottage and estate so much, we cancelled some of our plans to chill at the cottage. We hope to return in the future with extended family and rent both cottages.

Johnsfort was everything we needed. It was absolutely perfect! The home and hosts were better than we expected and we had a great time! Slept well and enjoyed our visit immensely!! 100% recommend!!
