I recently stayed at Kathleen’s Carrowkeel Cottage, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The cottage itself is a beautiful blend of traditional farmhouse charm and modern interior comforts. Nestled in a peaceful, quiet area, it offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house is super clean—everything was spick and span, with no unpleasant smells in the kitchen or elsewhere. It’s very well designed, with comfort and coziness clearly in mind. From the layout to the thoughtful furnishings, it felt like a home away from home. One of the highlights for me was the view out the back—two majestic horses in the backyard and a cow farm just beyond, adding to the unique countryside feel. It was a different experience waking up to the sights and sounds of the farm, which added a lovely, authentic touch to my stay. While there is no Wi-Fi at the cottage, I was able to get a good 5G signal in the kitchen, so staying connected wasn't an issue. Overall, Carrowkeel Cottage is a lovely place for anyone looking to relax in a serene environment while still enjoying all the comforts of a modern home.

Location is perfect for exploring Sligo and walking distance into town. Daniel was really helpful ahead of our arrival and kindly left some fantastic breakfast items and snacks. We were only there a couple of days but the house has everything you'd need for a week's stay!

Good instructions for finding it, and hostess Ann there to meet us She had an extremely generous welcome pack, including delicious homemade sandwiches. The semi detached accommodation is furnished to a very high standard with a good, spacious kitchen and a good bathroom. It is situated semi rurally, with a small town nearby to buy necessities, and Sligo is an easy 10-15 minute drive. Very handy for the Yeats trail, and some of Ireland’s impressive pre- historic monuments. Hard frosts while we were there, so it was very scenic, but we were always warm. Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful. Very highly recommended.

Amazing so clean , attention to detail in the whole house , bread and refreshments left out for us was really appreciated. April 2024. Beautiful location. Exceptionally clean. Stylish conversion. Every comfort provided - well equipped kitchen, comfortable seating and beds, central heating plus solid fuel burners. Information provided on how everything worked. One small issue arose which was dealt with by the owner immediately. Lots of parking. Stayed in many UK and Eire self catering properties over the years. Definitely in top three.
