I think what makes me think of this place as even more magical and unforgettable than it is anyway is its artwork - it was stunning and utterly heartwarming in its simplicity. Perfect value for money and location. The place was perfectly clean and the bathroom was a stunner with its space, modern decor and heated floors. Our stay there was a seamless and magical experience.

This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus. It offers free use of an outdoor wooden hot tub and arranges Icelandic horse riding tours on site. We loved everything about this place. The room was huge, clean, quite, warm and comfortable, with a view on a field with mountains. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was exceptional, During northern light they switched off the lights, so there was no light polution, Additional bonus from the hotel was that they had a horse stables and the one was able to go there, pet them take a photos, and it was absolutely relaxing, Loved it

The erupting Great Geysir is a 10 minute-drive away. Thingvellir National Park is 35 minutes from Gullfoss Hotel. The Kjölur highland road is 2 km away and connects northern and southern Iceland. Reykjavik city centre is 90 minutes away. Location. Breakfast. Very good restaurant.

Litli Geysir Hotel is on Route 35, located only 200 metres from the world famous Geysir hot spring in Iceland’s Haukadalur Valley. It offers an in-house restaurant as well as free access to WiFi and free parking.

The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Reykjavík city centre is a 1.5-hour drive away. We were upgraded to the Hotel Geysir next door which was fabulous. Beautiful breakfast.
