Joseph and Nimmy are the most wonderful hosts . They completely went out of their way for our comfort and were so helpful , friendly and just lovely people . The atmosphere is so serene , it is spotlessly clean and the location couldn’t be better to explore the surrounds . We hadn’t been to india for 25 years so we were a little apprehensive and Joseph put us completely at ease straight away and we loved it there . We were very sad to Leave and already would like to return ! We were privileged to be in Catherine’s room ! The only regret I had is not knowing the language so I couldn’t speak to Joseph’s mother . You must go ! You will have no regrets :) Perfect place!

The location is something special. You find yourself in the middle of a medieval Jewish quarter, a very touristic place. Though at nights it is so quiet and the local life comes its way... The reception was exceptional. The guy (sorry, I forgot his name) was as attentive and helpful as you may only think of. All of his recommendations were really the best. Thank you!

This was by far the fanciest (but definitely not priciest) accommodation I had in my 3 month stay in India. This place could easily have 4 or 5 star rating. It’s tucked away in a very busy area but it’s very quiet. It was open barely a few weeks ago and looks like a beautiful villa, very tastefully furnished, full of plants and impeccably kept. The rooms are very tasteful with all the amenities a high end hotel can offer. To say it’s good value for money would be an understatement. The same price can get you an average homestay in fort kochi (mine had ants and no back up generator). The area is far from the tourist attractions but definitely feels more genuine and has way better and more plentiful food options around (check out Milano ice cream). I stayed in fort kochi for a couple of days and by far prefer Ernakulam, as it lacks the overpriced and average restaurants that target tourists that are everywhere in fort. I cannot say anything about food offered by the hotel because they didn’t offer it yet when I was there, but they will in a couple of weeks. I’m sure that it will be great though and will make this hotel a real gem.

I stayed here 3 nights. The hotel is lovely. Everything was very clean and tidy. The room was nice and cool with the air conditioning. There is water in the room. That was nice, because it was hot when I was there. The people who worked there were very nice. They also had fun with each other. Everyone was cheerful. It felt like coming home every time. The breakfast was delicious. Everyone first got a fresh juice and some fruit. There was everything to order. I had muesli with coconut milk, because I eat vegan. There was also egg, toast or Indian food of course. You could just order more if it was too little. It was just a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was very good. The owner came over and introduced himself and thanked us for staying there. Staff members were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean with nice soaps, etc. Best of all: they arranged for a driver to take us to Munnar and Alleppey (3-day trip) and visit all the sites, for a very fair price. The owner of the private taxi company, Martin, made the booking and our driver, Devassey, was exceptional: an efficient and safe driver who knew the area well and made great recommendations about what to see/do along the way, was friendly and easy to be with, and kindly accommodated an early morning (6 a.m.) start for a 4-hour drive to our next destination. He made the trip magical and we were all sorry to say goodbye when he dropped us at the airport. Highly recommend.
