We had the pleasure to spend two nights at the Barahi jungle lodge on the banks of East Rapti River in Nepal. Already at Bharatpur airport we were welcomed by the lodge‘s pick-up service in person of most amiable Rajesh, who should turn out to be our naturalist guide for the whole stay. The Head-manager himself gave us a warm welcome and introduction into the lodge. We were impressed by the careful sustainability efforts in combination with a five star accomodation with all modern facilities close to the jungle. The staff was most caring, polite and attentive in all functions. The highlights of course were the Jeep Safari, Jungle walk and boat safari in the early morning in the park. Across the shallow Rapti river pick-up point is reached with a boat directly from the lodge. Safar jeeps wating for half or full-day trips. Driver and our guide Rajesh did a terrific job in showing vegetation and all wildlife Chitwan had to offer on that day including a stylish jungle tea/coffee with pastry. Deer, boars, bears, rhinos, monkeys, elefants are just the bigger animals, not speaking of peacocks and many other exotic birds. Safety was always key and we felt always secure and in best hands, either on the car or by foot during jungle walk. Both activities give a very good impression of the park‘s environment. Arriving from the trip with dust and sweat Barahi staff was waiting with refreshment towels and fresh water. A boat trip in the early morning on the calm Rapti river gave wonderful sight on birdlife and bigger animals crossing or bathing in the river. Dinner followed after a presentation of regional cultural dance with excellent cuisine listening to the sounds of the jungle by the pool. Coffee, tea, water was complementary all time with high-speed WiFi. Our bungalow met all expectations with enormous comfort. Wow, this was Nepali hospitality at its best.

El Sapana Village Lodge está rodeado de vegetación y se encuentra a 1 minuto en auto del centro de la ciudad de Sauraha. Ofrece servicio de transfer gratuito de ida y vuelta al lodge. Very friendly and helpful staff. Organized in a short time a safari with the other guests.

Nuestro hotel favorito durante nuestra estancia en Nepal. Apartado de las actividades turísticas pero ello se solucionaba ya que nos venían a buscar para realizar las mismas. Vale la pena por poder disfrutar las vistas y servicios del hotel. Recomendamos enormemente escoger una habitación con piscina, de ensueño. Más parecido a un apartamento que a una habitación. El menú es muy extenso y cocinan bien, aunque si no te gusta el picante, pídelo sin. Nosotros comimos en varias ocasiones en la habitación, que tenía vistas al río y a la jungla. Respecto al spa, los masajes que probamos, relajaban muchísimo. En el baño había ducha y jacuzzi. Probamos por primera vez el plato más mítico de Nepal, el Thali nepalí, nos gustó.

A Perfect Nature Retreat! I had an amazing stay at River Bank Jungle Resort. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a highlight of my visit. The rooms were clean, and cozy, and offered a peaceful connection to nature. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for great hospitality, delicious food, and a serene escape! 10/10!

Soaltee Westend Resort Chitwan está ubicado en Chitwan, a 32 km de Tharu Cultural Museum, y ofrece alojamiento con una pileta al aire libre, estacionamiento privado gratis, un jardín y salón... Beautiful modern hotel in lodge style design, nice big rooms and always clean and tidy. The staff in areas of this hotel are extremely well trained and courteous. The restaurant staff are all fabulous and it would be unfair to mention any individual but can’t name them all, so a 5/5 for every single one of them. My wife used the spa for 2 treatments and she thought it was excellent with very lovely professional staff. We did two safari tours one by elephant and one by jeep., both were excellent and a special mention here for our guide Suki who was extremely knowledgeable and we were lucky to have him for both of excursions booked with the hotel. I recommend staying at the Soaltee West End to anyone who wants top level service and care from arrival to departure.

Mi visita a Green Chwadi fue espectacular, el lugar perfecto para conectar con la naturaleza, ver actividades culturales, disfrutar de comida local deliciosa, pezcado fresco. Pude compartir con personas de la cultura Tharu, el personal fue lo mas amable, y tienen actividades increibles, para ir al parque Nacional Chitwa, pezca y mucho mas. De lo mejor en mi viaje a Nepal.

Our stay at KC’s Home in Chitwan was nothing short of heartwarming. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like part of their extended family. They went above and beyond to assist us with everything—from answering our many queries to arranging our safari packages and even helping us book a car ride to Pokhara. The breakfast spread was another highlight. Whether you’re into à la carte options or prefer a buffet, the morning meal was both generous and delicious. The property is also strategically located, just a short distance from Chitwan National Park, making it a convenient base for wildlife adventures. A special shoutout to Roshan, his colleagues, and the management team, whose warmth and professionalism truly stood out. Their genuine smiles and helpful attitude made our stay extra special. We also fell in love with their adorable dogs—one in particular was always smiling, and though we never caught its real name, we lovingly called it “Happy.” The other mischievous golden retriever was named Coco, which we overheard from the staff as it was always being called out to. One particularly memorable moment was when the staff performed a morning pooja. They even offered us Vibhuti as part of the ritual—a kind gesture we had to politely decline since we’d rushed down for breakfast and hadn’t yet showered! It’s rare to find a place where everyone—from the management to the housekeeping team—seems genuinely happy to be there. KC’s Home lives up to its name and is truly a home away from home.
