A vegetarian option can also be requested. Bakwa lodge is a little gem on beautiful Rodrigues island. Such a quiet and wonderful location, with the (usually empty) beach in front, surrounded by nature, but still in walking distance of a shop and a few eating places. The staff is lovely and very helpful. They organized a scooter to rent, and this was (for me) the perfect way to discover all corners of the island. It‘s also located at the start of the Mourouk-Pt.Coton hike, which is amazing. The semi-attached bungalows are beautifully decorated, nicely made, with outdoor shower (GREAT), a comfy bed, and really all you need also for a longer stay. I definitely recommend this „Bijou“ of place when being on Rodrigues island.

Room well decorated, staff hospitality was awesome as the owner offered herself to drive us to the local restaurant in the first day because we had no car that day. The pool area is very nice, breakfast was ok and the place is very calm.
