Lush greenery draped over balconies, sparkling infinity pool reflecting the sun, and the scent of frangipani filling the air. From the first moment, though, the beauty paled in comparison to the warmth of the staff. Taranga, one of manager's, greeted us with a smile so bright it could have chased away monsoon clouds. He checked us in with the efficiency of a hummingbird, all while making us feel like long-lost friends. Thanks to you Taranga, the Golden Crown wasn't just a stunning hotel, it was a home away from home. We left feeling like we'd discovered not just a hidden gem, but a new family!

We took “making and tasting tea tour”, it was incredible experience to collect the tea and see in my own eye what I saw in National geographic. The stuff was very good, the food was tasty and the house was beautiful

The accommodation was absolutely beautiful – with breathtaking views, a stunning pool, and impressive architecture. The food was always freshly prepared and offered a wide variety of dishes. The entire service team was extremely friendly, warm, and fun. After just a few days, it felt very personal, as if we were among friends. We also joined a cooking class, which was a fantastic experience with delicious food and very kind instructors. In addition, I enjoyed a massage, which was excellent as well. All in all, this place is highly recommendable, and we would definitely love to come back!

Everything in the room worked well, no hiccups. Prime location next to the river, excellent service. Everyone was supper attentive to us.

We arrived in Kandy after a long drive from Dambulla (3 hours). We were greeted with a welcome juice and told that our room was upgraded. Wow! We were given the most beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the countryside and the river. It was breathtaking. We settled in and enjoyed the infinity pool, and had dinner. They offer a fabulous dinner meal (Western or Sri Lankan). We stayed two nights and could have stayed longer. If you need to go into town, they will call transport for you since the hotel is on top of a windy hill overlooking the valley. We had the staff organize a day trip for us to the tea plantation and the Kandy Spice Walk. Highly recommend both. This is the place to stay while in Kandy - will not disappoint.

The highlight was definitely the beautiful balcony with an amazing view — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Every morning, Mahesh served a delicious breakfast, freshly prepared and full of flavor, which made the stay even more special. He was a kind and welcoming host, always ready to help with anything I needed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy!
