I booked a room at Gabaa Resort, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience despite the unexpected situation. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help me find a reliable garage and get my car fixed promptly. The room was clean and comfortable, providing much-needed relaxation. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations. Though my stay was brief, the exceptional service and hospitality left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

El sitio es espectacular, en medio de la naturaleza y a unos 20 minutos caminando de la calle principal. La comida estaba buenísima y muy copiosa. La mamá se encarga de cocinar puras delicias. La habitacion supercomoda, limpia, cama king size, aire acondicionado y ventanal, con terracita que da a un jardín tropical muy cuidado. Una gran experiencia, por todo ello, podemos asegurar que si algún día volvemos de España a Habarana, estaremos encantados de repetir alojamiento en Manike Lodge.

The place is located in a quiet part of habarana, very calming and relaxing with trees, flowers, birds. The rooms are big and convenient. And the best is the hospitality of the hosts, and how Jeewa helped me plan my days, always with the best experiences and best prices. I LOVED staying there. I will for sure go back if I come again to sri lanka !!

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

Lasanta and his wife were amazing hosts. Lasanta took us everywhere we needed to go in his tuk tuk, showing us spots we haven’t thought of with his local knowledge all for a good price. He even took us to see the elephants in his tuk tuk to top off our experience with them. Lasantas’ wife made amazing dinners. The best food we had whilst being there and the room is very clean and has a nice style they are very attentive hosts always making sure you are happy. We really recommend this place to anyone.

We upgraded to the A-frame tree house with a private pool a few days before arrival, and it was the best decision. The pool was the perfect size to cool off for our family of five. We loved our stay here. While this hotel might be a bit further from Sigiriya, they organised a driver in a safari jeep to take us where we needed to go. We also went on a game drive to a nearby national park, which was amazing; we saw so many elephants. You can walk into some local shops as well. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both were really good—best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka.
