Everything but especially the breakfast which was the best we had out of the 10 properties we stayed in this trip. They have a little bar open in the evening and in summer months dinner is available too. Nice little snug tv room where you can relax and chat with other guests. Outside there are a couple of hot tubs but we didn’t try them

A definite highlight of our Ring Road trip. After a boat trip on glacier lagoon and dramatic drive along the eastern fjords, Hotel 1001 was a treat from start to finish. Warm welcome, great room and view over the lake with a short walk to the (very) hot tub. Dinner - lamb and arctic char - spectacular and memorable. Breakfast too - delicious omelette made to order. Everyone very friendly. Left relaxed and recharged to continue north on ring road after a worthwhile detour via Hallormsstaðaskógur national forest. Thank you.

Nice little apartment, free hot tub with a lake view (ask the staff for bathrobes and slippers), very quiet. Still quite near the town, easy to find, enough parking spaces (on gravel). Breakfast buffet quiet small but with diverse options (incl. vegan options)

Sauna in the basement was lovely and in good use. Also, extras (towels, water, relaxing space) was available

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Cosy decorated. There is a great relaxing area with a sauna, hot pot and hammocks. Breakfast and dinner was abundant and tasteful. Rooms were clean.

We were booked to stay in a "cottage" but when we arrived we found there was an unpleasant smell in the accommodation possibly due to the previous occupants. The owner of the hotel was very helpful and moved us to a room in the annex of the hotel with a complimentary breakfast to make up for our disappointment. Breakfast was actually very good with lots of choice. The hot tubs were also good to relax in at the end of the day.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location close to the Puffin view point, free parking space. The apartment was super modern, clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen and tea bags available. We used the laundry service with a small charge and the Spa is super relaxing and clean. The breakfast from 8am was very good with homemade bread, cakes and jam.

perfect stay !!!! the shower had a door broken but it was all. access to the sauna & hot tub for 1000isk only. breakfast included in the price worth every penny you’ll spend here. thabk you for being so kind, you are lovely
