Room was clean and comfy, the restaurant was consistently excellent across breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the staff were unfailingly helpful. On top of that the hotel is one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. A real treasure trove of a place, better than most museums, and this only added to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. A hotel so good it would be worth going back to Malang just to stay there again.

This is a beautiful old world hotel, with fantastic vintage furniture in beautiful and huge rooms with lovely decor and with all mod cons, and is situated bang in the middle of Surabaya. Checkin is swift and easy, and the staff are well trained and courteous. This is by no means the cheapest high end place in Surabaya but, without a doubt, it is the best value for what you get. And it is the most historical, interesting and the best located hotel. Surabaya doesn't really have more than a weekend's worth of attractions, but this hotel is a major attraction itself, and is a short walk to all the other attractions that Surabaya has to offer. Not only that, it is strategically located near a large Mall, with great shopping, ATMs, and food options. The hotel also has a great bar for socialising.
