A warm and friendly personal service will greet you when you stay at this charming family run place. Spacious, clean and comfortable cottages with outdoor bathrooms, homemade cake and juice on arrival and advice for safari tours are all part of the service. Breakfast and dinner were some of the best food we ate on our trip, lovingly created for us with local ingredients used to create delicious Sri Lankan dishes. We went on a 6 hour private safari option arranged by Mango Tree and loved our experience spotting buffalo, many elephants, crocodiles, deer and a variety of different birds. A simple and tasty lunch was provided and served in the park. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and offered a personalised experience. The next day he swapped the safari jeep for a Tuk Tuk when we went to visit the orphaned elephants at the local transit home. I would suggest a 4 hours safari, more than enough to see animals. This was a very comfortable place to stay, truly homely and an excellent place to visit both the park and the elephant transit home.

Super friendly staff that gave us the best experience! We had very nice Sri Lankan food for both breakfast and dinner. They also arranged taxis for us to travel to our next stop and the safari was amazing.

The location is surrounded by a beautiful garden. The room is spacious, clean and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious, clean and scenic. The staff is attentive and friendly. The breakfast is plentiful and really good. We also had dinner and everything was delicious as well as good value. One of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka

What a wonderful place to stay. Even better than the photos. The room was pristine and well equipped, with WiFi, AC, hot showers, mosquito nets and comfortable beds. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and spoke very good English. The garden is beautiful and immaculately maintained, it really was a green paradise. The food was delicious, we tasted lots of different traditional Sri Lankan dishes with generous portions provided. The aubergine curry was a particular highlight. Highly recommend booking your Safari through the hosts, we did and it was a treat. Our guide was fantastic and he joyfully shared his knowledge and passion for animals with us. We saw lots of Elephants including babies and many other animals and birds, which we think was only possible due to his local knowledge. Don’t miss your chance to stay here if you’re in the area.

Fantastic option if you want to go on a safari in Udawalawe. The rooms are beautiful .hotel pool is great for relaxing. We booked the safari with them and the experience could not have been better.seeing all kinds of animals. Highly recommended!

The best stay during our trip in Sri Lanka so far. Hashan and his family amazed us with their hospitality, they are extremely kind people, help us with everything we needed. We did the safari and we were extremely lucky to have Hashan as our guide we were everywhere first or among the first and had the best spots, saw lots of elephants families right next to our jeep. The food was delicious accommodation great as well. We recommend everywhere 😊🙏.
