The best thing is the owner Chathu! He can help with anything and everything. He knows everyone. He got us tuk tuks on the regular, provided amazing authentic Sri Lankan food, helped book spa appointments, got us drivers for a tour around Sri Lanka, surf instructors, and helped find hotels in several areas in Sri Lanka. He even found someone to help extend my visa when the official website wasn't working. You really feel you are part of his family staying there. We loved our stay! This is a perfect place to relax. The hotel is built on a hill and can only be reached by a funicular railway or a long staircase. Due to its elevated location, you truly feel part of the jungle, with a stunning view to match. The highlight of our visit was definitely the monkeys – but a word of caution: if you're not a fan of monkeys, this might not be the place for you, as they can be quite intrusive. They even stole my sunscreen and almost broke into our room, as they are able to open the door (always lock the door!). The bar and staff were outstanding – very dedicated and friendly. We loved relaxing at the pool on top of the hotel.

The staff was very attentive and friendly and helped out with everything to make the stay perfect for us. Very big room with nice interior and view out to the nature. The bed was comfortable with blanket. Well functioning spacious bathroom with good pressure in the shower. Good airconditioning. The surroundings are very nice and you can really relax at Villa Hillcrest while being in the middle of the nature. It is a very calm and beautiful place with attention to detail both inside and outside. The pool and the surroundings are very beautiful. Good service and good food as well. Thank you very much😊

This place is run by a family. They were really kind and helpful with everything. We came late for checkout but still they let us use the room and the bathroom. Really kind people. We liked everything. Very close to the sea. Walking distance from coconut hill. One of our best stays.

From the moment we arrived at Cape Weligama, our honeymoon became truly unforgettable. The villa we stayed in was incredibly spacious, offering every comfort imaginable, including a luxurious bathroom with its own sauna. The highlight was the stunning infinity Moon Pool, where we could relax while enjoying breathtaking ocean views. The Beach Club with private beach access made our stay even more special, giving us the perfect balance of privacy and relaxation by the sea. The gastronomy was simply outstanding—every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was of the highest quality, comparable to a world-class five-fork restaurant. We are especially grateful to our host, Salman, who was always attentive and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the entire service team, particularly Lahiru, whose warm and impeccable service made us feel at home. The hotel also organized a safari to Yala National Park, taking care of everything from the comfortable transport from the hotel to the park, to arranging our own private jeep and guide once inside. Our guide, Damitha, impressed us with his excellent explanations and deep knowledge of the park, making the experience even more enriching. To make the day even more special, we enjoyed a spectacular lunch at Wild Coast Tented Lodge, another property from the Resplendent group—an experience that exceeded all expectations. We had a magical honeymoon on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, and without a doubt, we will return next year to celebrate our anniversary at this paradise.
