What a wonderful way to look back and understand the culture of the day (400 BC) in beautiful Matera. MOYΣEION recreates the experience with the design of the hotel, the people, food, pool, furniture, architecture, right down to the dinner plates, cups and cutlery. The staff are all trained in the fields they love - like archaeology and share the journey. They also demonstrate beautiful music using instruments of the day. It's incredible. On top of this, the chef does an amazing modern interpretation of food from 400BC. It is all very cool. It is totally worth going with the flow and fully embracing and immersing yourself in the experience. We did, and we were rewarded for it. Finally, the staff are exceptional. So kind and attentive. They make it perfect.

La Suites is so well located. It is a modern hotel located on the edge as you enter the central part of the old town. The rooms are large and well equipped. the staff are exceptional, Jennifer at the front desk was a standout, offering great help and assistance, as did other staff we engaged with.

Our room was very spacious and the terrace was wonderful. Location was great, in the heart of the historic center. Staff at the reception, Ivana, Betty and Leonardo were so, so, nice and helpful with information and all we needed. Mario was an unforgetable help with our 2 suitcases! This is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Matera. Located just off a street with a great selection of restaurants to choose from. The hosts provided snacks, fruit juices and a bottle of wine on arrival which was lovely. It is in the heart of Matera old town so all the places you should visit are only a short walk.
