The decision to give 10 points has never been easier. We found this place to be the ideal home base for exploring Kovalam and Trivandrum. And here is why: 1. It is situated close, but not too close to the city and within a short tuctuc ride from the beach. 2. The property is beautiful and the rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. 3. The entire staff (front desk, housekeeping, security guard, restaurant staff, as well as the drivers, ayur veda specialist and yoga teacher they work with) is extremely friendly and helpful. They really made us feel at home. 4. The food… is just something else. We can’t wait to come back simply because we weren’t able to sample the entire menu! Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Many of the fruit and veg are grown right on the property. We had never been to Kerala - or indeed India - before. We will definitely be back because we fell in love with the area and the food and the people. This is in large part thanks to the Amara experience. ❤️

Location is really awesome with lot of greenery. Had a short conversation with owner of the property, excited to know it is a heritage village he bought and developed. all rooms are built 200 years back. Staff are extremely good and patient in answering any queries Ayrvedic massage was good with reasonable prices

Excellent service, staff very helpful, hotel in good location. Breakfast was very good, huge choice of Indian and western food.
