We loved our stay at Alpen Resort & Spa! Thanks for the upgrade to a room with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn! We really enjoyed the outdoor whirlpool and all the other spa facilities as well. The hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants in Zermatt. Accommodating staff. Afternoon cake and tea. We could use the spa during our last day as well which was very convenient as our train back was leaving in the evening.

Likes - The location is just right at the point, from where the Matterhorn can be seen. - The staff is super cool, welcoming and cooperative. - Excellent facilities - Spa, Common microwave station, cutlery, etc. - Free pickup and drop facilities using e-cars from / to Train station to / from hotel - We got a room with a great mountain view Dislikes Absolutely nothing Highly recommend this hotel for any number of days.

We loved the hotel, it's traditional design and the views from the room. The room was clean, comfortable & well maintained. We highly recommend the hotel which is also in a great location which is close to the train station & on the main street. The hotel staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was good.

Booking the right hotel has always been part of our travel itinerary. Schloss, Zermatt is definitely a must try. It is located just across the main train station, 3mins away from the gornegratt railway, 10mins away from sunnega blauherd station. The main road where everything is from shops, to restaurants, and grocery is just a couple of minutes away. The facilities are amazing with a heated pool, a spa, a big balcony, and a working fridge. Breakfast choices are more than enough and are real good. Plus all room booking include afternoon tea. The staff are lovely and courteous. This hotel is worth every penny.

    The apartment with view on the Matterhorn was really great, super confortable and well equipped. Wellness & SPA area was great and super relaxing, and the pool is ok to swim a bit. Breakfast was amazing. The team was really helpful to organise our stay all along, the taxi from and to the station, the water before our departure, explaining the main things to see around Zermatt.

    Outdoor spa at the end of the day to relax into with great views. The staff at breakfast were so friendly and went above and beyond to interact and chat. Front counter staff were also very friendly. Loved the dog in the day spa. Loved the piano bar playing live music at night.

    Superb staff who where always on hand and always courtesy, friendly day and would do anything to help us. The room was fantastic. Bath at the end of the bed, steamroom and sauna also in the room. We where blown away by the facilities. We will revised in a heartbeat. There is a wellness center which was perfect. We also had massages which was much needed and very relaxing 😌

    A lovely friendly and comfortable hotel. Very helpful staff. Collected from the train station in the hotel shuttle. The room was very comfortable and very quiet. We even slept with the window open as we like a cool room and were not disturbed as it is in a quieter area. The breakfasts were lovely with very healthy options. The spa was great with a nice Finnish sauna and cold shower, steam room and a hot tub & swimming pool. Would without doubt stay at The Rex again.

    First of all - the staff, these guys and girls are really making this place special. Service is top quality. Another good things - SPA area, outside pool, nice saunas, relaxing areas. Very good hotel's location, just few steps form the ski lift + from the bus stop which takes to yet another ski lift. Breakfast - one of the best I had, there is everything you can think of.. just great, really liked the reserved table which did not change for the whole stay.
