It was my first time in Kusatsu and I am really happy that I chose the Buna Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I love its modern side while still keeping a very traditional Japanese atmosphere. The place is beautiful, very quiet, and the welcome was so polite. I will recommend this hotel to my friends in France, and I truly hope to come back to Kusatsu one day. Arigatō gozaimasu! 🙏✨

Located in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Oyado Yukizumi provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. This little Ryokan-style hotel was so nice that I missed it very much after leaving Kusatsu Onsen. I have stayed in a total of 14-16 hotels all over Japan by now (over the years) and this is easily one of the best (if not the very best). I appreciated the vegetarian breakfast very much: it was very elegant as well as nutritious. They also checked the ingredients with me. The wide Tatami mat area exceeded expectations: I could relax with panoramic views of the snow capped mountains while dining or just working (digital nomad-ing was easy with fast wifi). There were many drawers and cupboards: storage space was never an issue. The Toto Smart toilet was more advanced than those variants in 5-Star hotels. The hotel is proximate to all the important places and just opposite the bus stand: I only just had to cross the road with my luggage. I also discovered multiple short routes to Yubatake every single day (I stayed for three days). The same family/organisation also operates the Yume Hana restaurant next door and guests of Oyado Yukizumi receive a complimentary beverage service while dining in Yume Hana. The Yukata they provide is very nice and I wore the same to the main Onsens in the area. The staff are very caring and kind hearted, for example, when I was leaving, seeing that it was raining, they asked me to take their umbrella with me (I declined the same). Later, I missed the level of kindness and attention to each individual guest I received while staying here - that is something you will not get from large branded hotels. Thank you, Oyado Yukizumi, I was very touched.

Amazing experience (I stayed 3 nights). - amazing staff (in particular the lady in charge who speaks English and is very helpful (how to wear a yukata, how to bath in onsen, explaining local delicacy) - location: walking distance from everything but also a more charming place than traditional downtown kusatsu hotel (especially next to the park) - food ! Please book breakfast and at least try dinner once (very generous 12+ courses even if more pricey than regular plate but quality and quantity were insane) - large rooms with futon and beautiful view (only 10 rooms in this hotel), Onsen quiet and always on - yukata + kimono

The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Amazing place, from pick up at the station until we left / everything was perfect! All the staff were exemplary, catering to all our needs. The dinner was worthy of Michelin imo, grande course with so many options. The breakfast too and it snowed so everything was beautiful, the views 😍 We had private onsen room and the room was huge, steeped in tradition and the onsen was lushhhh especially when you open the door the combo of heat and cold! will be back again, recommended!

Gozanoyu, a hot springs bath facility is a 2-minute walk away while Ohtakinoyu is a 7-minute walk from the property. Sainokawara open-air bath is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the property. Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort is 1.1 km from the property. The place had amazing customer service as well facilities. Traditional tea and snacks on arrival and morning breakfast provide was great. They four private onsen rooms if you are couple and prefer being alone. Facility is clean beyond expectation.

Located along Houshi River, Houshi Onsen Chojukan features a public hot spring bath, Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and Japanese cuisine. A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. The onsen is amazing, they all have a great atmosphere and they have a mixed one. Great dinner and breakfast too!

Kusatsu International Ski Area is 1.5 km away.The ryokan is 11 km from Haneo Train Station, and 7 km from Sanroku Ropeway Station. Nikko-ji Temple is about a 5-minute walk away.

This apartment features free private parking, private check-in and check-out and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated 47 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Spacious house with a great bath. Very comfortable. Unluckily we just stayed one night. We were a family of four people and we slept all so well. Many amenities in the bathroom.
