We were on the lower level, and in spite of concerns it would be cold during our winter stay it was very warm. In fact, the apartment is heated from floors, which means your feet stay warm too. Besides that… Kitchen is well equipped. Apartment is very clean and modern. Bathroom has new and high quality faucets. Traunkirchen is a very beautiful destination with a dozen of trails for hiking. The hosts were friendly. Unfortunately, we broke some glasses because it was a big company, but this was resolved in a very reputable manner. We would come back again!

The accomodation is only 1 km from Lake Traun and 6 km from the Langbathseen swimming lakes. For winter sports, the Feuerkogel Ski Area can be reached by car within a 3-minute drive. Various hiking and biking tracks are situated in the surrounding Totes Gebirge and Höllengebirge Mountains. The city of Salzburg is 70 km from the property. Gave great recommendation on restaurant in the area. Whole pension is very clean, decorated with care. Our room was very clean and neat too. Breakfast is very tasty with wide selection and fresh pastry / fruit / veggies.

The Bootshaus restaurant offers fine cuisine. In summer, the SeeSide restaurant is open during the day. Each restaurant has a terrace with unique views of Lake Traun and the surrounding mountains.

In winter, the Feuerkogel Family Ski Area is 7 km away, and there are many Christmas markets in the surrounding towns and villages. Beautiful hotel at a great location. Very nice interior everywhere. The breakfast was really nice, and the dining area outstanding. My room was clean and cosy with a lovely view from the balcony. I would have preferred a little cooler indoor temperature though.
