The walk from the cable car station along the panorama trail with amazing mountain views takes approximately 25-30 minutes. There are many walking and skiing trails available around. You can have dinner a la carte at the hotel (there are not many other options in the village). Peaceful and quiet. We had a double room in the attic with a tiny window and two comfortable beds joined. The bathroom was small, but clean. Your luggage can be delivered from the cable car to the hotel, if you book in advance.

The view from the room was absolutely spectacular, of the entire valley below and the mountains surrounding it, like something from a movie! The room is cute, cozy and clean, with a renovated and spotless clean bathroom. The breakfast buffet was good, and the staff (owner?) very nice. Hotel is located next to the gondola station so really convenient to arrive! Belalp is a wonderful location for hiking or even easy walks, with breathtaking views! Perfect visit, and i would love to visit again!

We loved everything about this hotel. There’s so much to share but in brief, it’s just a 2 minute walk from the train station yet so quiet overnight. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area but more importantly the hotel is probably the best we’ve ever stayed in. There is a history to this hotel, clearly linked to London and the great granddaughter’s of the original owner are still there running things. The food / breakfast was amazing. Very fresh and nothing was packaged. They trust those staying to serve themselves to the snacks, beer and wine in the evening and note down what you’ve taken and they honestly could not do enough for you. The decor was lovely with a hint of London times, old and new. We would highly recommend this hotel!

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Gilbert's place! The apartment was immaculate and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was ideal—close to everything I wanted to explore, yet peaceful and relaxing. Gilbert was an exceptional host, providing thoughtful recommendations and being incredibly responsive to all my questions. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. I can’t wait to return!
