We stayed there twice, one night at each end of our two-week holiday in Donegal. We found it a great place to spend our first night after a long flight to Dublin airport (which isn't too far away) and also for finishing off our trip in beautiful and relaxing surroundings. On previous trips to Ireland we'd stayed at other places in County Meath on our first and last nights and they had all been really good but Rathgillen Cabin has become our favourite. Peter, the host, is a very friendly and welcoming fella so we's love it if he'd come to stay with us at our home in Bulgaria some time. And the village has a handy shop, a great pub and a wonderful cafe where we had our final breakfast befor heading home. We were also delighted to discover that Nobber was the birthplace of the 17th Century blind harpist. Turlough O' Carolan whose music we've loved for a long time.

We were amazed how nice,causing exclamations like “wow” from one member of our party. It had a home like feeling, and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Exceptionally clean and inviting.

Salió a recibirnos, nos dio mucha información previa a nuestra llegada, nos recomendó visitar lugares con encanto, y el estudio es una monada y muy cómodo. Modern secure townhouse está ubicado en Oldcastle, a 22 km de Monasterio de Kells, a 22 km de Iglesia de St. Columba y a 23 km de Kells Heritage Centre, y ofrece alojamiento con patio y wifi gratis. The accommodation was excellent and well presented by householder Kevin, who met us on arrival. It also has a secure yard for parking. Less than three minute walk into the town Square, where one will find a pet friendly cafe, known as Ciara's Candy and cafe. Kevin has a pub as well, where your pet is welcome and the staff and locals are very friendly and helpful. We had a Totally relaxed break and even our cockapoo, Mitzi relaxed for a change, as she does not travel to well. A good base for traveling from. Definitely be back.
