My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat. Perfect location with gorgeous view and it's not too far from the Lake site. The rooms were well maintained and felt comfortable. I slept so comfortably. As we like to cook our own food I felt the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Staff were so helpful and did their best to help with anything we would need. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay especially my parents who were long way from home were overwhelmed with the beauty and hospitality. Would recommend staying here.

Excellent location, private second floor ensuite room with a view of the mountains and loch, very delicious breakfast. Easy check-in with a courteous receptionist. After leaving I realised whilst on my onward journey to Oban I'd left my phone charger in the room, I phoned the hotel and the staff very kindly reserved it for me to collect three days later.
Melissa and Paul were incredibly accommodating and generous. It was my birthday, and Melissa treated me to freshly cut flowers and a celebratory drink. The location is gorgeous and perfect for bagging several Munros—we did Ben Narnainne, Ime, and Vane—and our room offered a stunning view across Loch Long to the Cobbler. We love a cooked breakfast, and the additional pastries were a nice surprise. Melissa and Paul were able to fit an extra bed in our room so a friend could join us. We felt very well looked after.
Fascadail house is a beautiful period house with lovely gardens overlooking Loch Long. We were very pleasantly surprised by our room which was actually 2 rooms - a bedroom and a sitting room and bathroom area. Both rooms were absolutely lovely and beautifully appointed. Our host Barbara was very helpful in giving advice on things to do in the local area. We were very impressed with Arrochar and can thoroughly recommend it as a holiday location - and Fascadail House is the place to stay. We totally loved it.
Staff all very friendly and helpful; the breakfast team, in particular, went out of their way fo provide my special requests, and provide it all in a stylish way. Plenty of hot water and heating at all times, which is important in the Highlands in December! Conveniently located for main roads near the Arrochar Alps and easy to get to from Helensburgh or Loch Lomond. Bar meals available all afternoon and evening. The steak and venison pie was particularly good!
Breakfast was fairly good with a choice of foods, the croissants were never fresh though. The evening meal was OK but very institutional catering for coach trips. There was a choice of menu but basic. No coffee offered after meals.
Hotel was in lovely setting and clean, however the hotel is tired and in need of a lot of modernisation. The windows were sealed shut so no ventilation in hot bedrooms or stairwells.
The room was cosy, the view of the cobbler and Arrochar alps was amazing across Loch long.
The bed was comfortable and clean, and the TV was of a high quality.
One of the major things I liked was the quietness of the room, there were guests next door on both nights and I still heard nothing. I was able to get a great rest between hiking days which made such a difference.
Everything. What a fantastic home in a beautiful area. Have been holidaying in Loch lomond for 20+ years, and this is by far the nest location i have stayed in.
Village inn down the road for bevy and a scran and plenty more bars/hotels and restaurants a 5/10min walk away. Fishing on the pier (caught 3 Mackeral no big deal guys).
Genuinely canny wait to come back.
Delightful cottage in village centre. Room was lovely and cosy with views over Loch Long. Friendly hosts and great breakfast. Only here for one night on way back home from further north. Had visited Arrochar previously for a longer stay in a different establishment but when I return to the area I will seek a room at Rowantreebank.
We found the hotel location an ideal starting point to head off into the west coast of Scotland. Our ground floor room whilst small was adequate and benefited with a view overlooking the Loch. The bed was comfortable and the self service buffet breakfast good. A warm and friendly team.
Clean. All amenities present. Nice view on Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. At the back of the house there is a narrow, but nice seating area with a hot tub. the Village Inn pub is very nice and close to the cottage. Good location for exploring the Loch Lomond area and Arrochar Alps.
The location of the hotel is perfect - easy to walk to trail heads. Parking perfect. Room has the absolute best view of the loch and mountains. I did pay extra for that. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Full scottish breakfast was ok.
This place is fabulous! We loved everything about it. Close to a pub, a small grocery store, a fish & chips shop and right over Loch Lomond. The views were amazing and the place was beautifully decorated. Loved it so much!
Breakfast was great and staff very friendly also had dinner on the Monday night and this was delicious. When I come back to Arrochar I would book this hotel again. Great hotel friendly staff and everything was perfect
Hotel location is perfect . The view of the Loch and Cobbler mountain is wow . Staff are fantastic especially Daria and the restaurant manager who went out of her way to help my daughter and I . Loved our stay !
House was great, very spacious and lovely decor. Great location, walking distance to Loch Lomond shore, pub and Slanj restaurant. Bernadette was very friendly and helpful, she also cooked a fantastic breakfast.
Hotel set in beautiful location with fantastic views. Staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great entertainment held in the evening. Great 3 course evening meal.
The hotels location was excellent right at the top of Loch Long. Our room was clean and spacious, with a view of the loch.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
