Not to mention the exceptional accessibility options should the guest be differently abled - 2 very wide elevators, appropriately sloped ground, no bumps going through the rooms.

The room had every immensity possible and the bed was really comfortable. We would differently stay here again.

The Japanese-style rooms at Historical Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen are air-conditioned and come with traditional tatami-mat flooring. Most rooms enjoy beautiful views of the Matsukawa River. We keep coming back. The building has a great atmosphere, very welcoming. Very helpful personal. Spotlessly clean. And the onsen is great for soaking away jetlag. Close enough to Hakone for a daytrip.

The ryokan has an on-site restaurant which serves local meals. There are drink vending machines for the guests' convenience. This resort is amazing! The different pools are very hot and comfortable and the atmosphere is so relaxing... The view from the restaurant is amazing and the japanese breakfast very good (miso soup was incredible! Gnum!!!). And in the evening you can join the other guests for free ramen (gnum!)

The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

They made delicious food and the rooms were very nice.

Very well maintained property, although we can the tell the property is aged, the effort and hard work to maintain the house is very impressive
