The staff was accommodating, kind, and helpful. The shuttle was super convenient, as was scheduling. The food was amazing!

The food at breakfast and dinner was varied and exceptional. All of the dishes I tried I liked , and they had a nice variety of western and Japanese. The room we had was huge and very comfortable. The onsen facilities were excellent, and very well kept. We are skiers and this hotel was very well setup for skiers. They have locker rooms for storage as well as changing, and on checkout day you can leave all your luggage , go ski, come back and change and then leave. But what makes this hotel a standout is the staff. I speak limited Japanese but had no issues communicating with the staff either speaking directly to them or using google translate. They are kind, patient and will do anything to help you. On checkout day, we went skiing and came back at 11:30 and needed to use the courier service taqubin which is conveniently located inside the hotel gift shop. However, we failed to notice beforehand that the shop takes a close break from 11:30 until 3:30 and our train leaves at 3;15. We were very stressed but the lady who runs the store and handles the courier said no problem, she would stay open just for us and give us time to change out of our ski clothes ,repack our ski gear and come back. It took us longer than we thought to repack and change because we had some trouble locating the ski bag as it was behind the counter in long storage. It didn’t matter, she still waited and when we finally finished she patiently helped us with the forms and everything was handled . When we left again for the station we had some time to wait so we purchased some small sweets and went back to give them to the staff as a thank you for all their exceptional efforts and help with our stay . They seemed genuinely surprised and happy and then walked out to wave us goodbye! How nice and a great happy surprise for us! We cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will be back someday.

一水荘 está ubicado en Gosen, a 36 km de Estación Niigata y a 8 km de Suntopia World. Ofrece alojamiento con un jardín y wifi gratis, además de estacionamiento privado gratis. The meals were fantastic and staff very accommodating. We do not speak Japanese and the staff was kind and helpful, sometimes using Google translate to help communicate. Everything was excellent.

Koshi no yado Takashimaya está ubicado en Niigata, a 35 km de Estación Niigata y a 4,1 km de Yahiko Shrine. The room, staff, service, facilities, food, and location were excellent.

Sasakura onsen Ryuunso está ubicado en Itoigawa. El ryokan también ofrece wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratis. This hotel carried Japanese style and tradition. That staff is friendly and supportive. The rooms are well appointed and in style of Japanese tradition. The best part are the natural mineral hot springs. Total rejuvenation and relaxation.

Bunanoyado Koase está ubicado en Aga, a 37 km de Suntopia World y a 44 km de Templo Enzo-ji. Amazing Ryokan with best food I ever had in a hotel! Wonderful personnel, amazing hispitality. Great onsen facilities. Has a besutiful traditional feel and located in a pristine, untouched nature. Private open air onsen has great views over the valley. So far, best hotel I have ever been in Japan. I highly recommend here to anyone wishing to experience such a great Ryokan. Thank you everyone for making my stay so wonderful.

Sake Hotel Tamakiya está ubicado en Tokamachi, a 38 km de Centro de esquí Gala Yuzawa, y tiene alojamiento con salón compartido, estacionamiento privado gratis y un restaurante. breakfast was excellent, it didn't seem much at first but once you started, the flavor of the different vegetables accompanied by the selected rice was incredible. Also loved the sake pairing of our French dinner.

Rankeisou está ubicado en Sanjo, a 33 km de Yukyuzan Park, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, salón compartido y una terraza. This Ryokan is so beautiful and peaceful. You have to drive a bit from the city center. However, it was well worth it. When we got to our accommodation, the staff was already expecting us, she knew where we came from , and her English was really good. She sat us down for our check-in process. It felt like we paid a million dollars for this kind of customer service. She took us through our check-in process, dinner time, booked our private onsen, told us a bit about the Ryokan, booked breakfast time, and then she took us right up to our room. Our room was a riverside view, which was so amazing. Our food for dinner and breakfast was the best we had compared to other hotels around the world we've tried so far. This was all done in our own private dining room. Our private onsen also had a great view. I can not say enough good things about this place. We will come back here again when possible.
