Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama.

Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience.

Our rooms are designed with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring tatami mat flooring throughout. For those who prefer a futon on tatami or a bed, we also offer Japanese-Western style rooms. The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. Very nice Ryokan. Room was super big that had sitting/tea area. We ordered the dinner separately and it was a very nice experience too.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. The hotel features hot-spring baths, a restaurant serving breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This ryokan is introduced in Michelin Green Guide Japan. Exceptional staff! Warm, inviting, traditional experience. Will definitely return. Loved everything about it!

Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lounge. The building was lovely, right on the canal, historic, clean, nice facilities, onsen was lovely, staff were attentive, approachable and kind.

There is a coffee shop, and a minimarket is also available. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in.

Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. Really like the tatami-style room! Enjoyed the great view of ocean and fancy gazebo! Dinner was also amazing!

This was our 3rd visit since 2018 and remains our favourite ryokan! Love the private open air onsens!

Rooms include a private bathroom with a bath and shower, with slippers, free toiletries and a hair dryer provided. Well maintained, beautiful location.
