This was a 21st anniversary gift for a pastoring couple. The staff assisted us every step of the way in ensuring they had a memorable stay including a romantic setup. They even took videos and sent to me. I would highly recommend them to my friends, family and colleagues. I hope they have a conference facility as I would definitely use their services again.

It was a huge disappointment when our kids were not allowed to swim in the ocean because of the Ecoli levels. We drove 8 hours to get to the ocean...only to be told we cannot swim in it. Travellers should be notified before booking a holiday in Umhlanga. Besides this huge disappointment there were lots of other good things, like the Shopping at Gateway and THE FOOD! So many amazing restaurants! Our favourite was "Wondering Seoul", this was a Next Level experience.

Amanzimtoti is a gem on the KwaZulu-Natal coast—perfect for anyone looking to unwind while still having access to plenty of things to do. The beaches are absolutely beautiful: clean, family-friendly, and great for swimming or just relaxing. Watching the sunrise over the ocean is a must! There’s a good mix of restaurants, local shops, and malls nearby, making it easy to find what you need without traveling far. The area feels safe and has a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. It’s also a convenient base for exploring Durban and surrounding areas, while still enjoying a quieter, more relaxed setting. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or solo, Amanzimtoti has something to offer. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a peaceful seaside break with a local touch.

Kingsburgh looks like it needs more security at the beach car guards are and hobos are sleeping on the pavement, loud music coming from cars at night in the car park until 1h00 in the morning.Water shortages so people are using the beach taps to full their containers by the truck loads to take home.

No place in South Africa can beat Durban, it has the most awesome beaches, the weather is enjoyable whether it is overcast, raining or when the sun is full out in al its glory. There are many things to do in Durban and it is cost effective whether you are on a budget or saved up - you will enjoy to the max. The food places are plentiful and have a variety. I love coming to Durban and staying on the golden mile because that is where the action and atmosphere is most lively.

I loved the Afsaal flats cleanliness and quietness the entire building was amazingly quiet and clean. The Toti area is just clean and quiet Easily reachable via the N2 highway, with public transport options from Durban in case we didn't have our car. We required medical services as my 5-year-old got sick, the primary Netcare facility in the area was Netcare Kingsway Hospital. This private hospital offered a comprehensive range of healthcare services and is conveniently located we couldn't struggle to get its location. My favorite place was Toti Main Beach, ideal for swimming, and fishing. The Water Park, my kids loved the water land, and the warm Indian Ocean makes it pleasant even during this season. Shopping malls close by. I dd not like my shopping experience at Checkers Galleria mall though it was packed on the 26th we stayed on the que for 1,5hours. I also did not like how the water was so dirty at the Toti main beach all the rubbish inside the water.

HI I never stayed there we contacted the person in charge because we weren't happy to stay there as nobody was there to greet us and the cleaning lady wasn't very friendly and nobody else was on the property. We have requested to be reimbursed and was told it would be done a week after the reservation was done.

Durban is a massive city and location matters when visiting.

Durban is a massive city and location matters when visiting. If you stay north of the city you are in good hands as well as some of the neighbourhoods outside the city centre. The city has tons of possibilities, amazing attractions and great weather with very welcoming locals. I would not bother with the CBD of Durban, it has gone a bit dodgy over many years of mismanagement of the ruling party. In saying that, we always return to Durbs, either to stay or as a starting point to see some amazing attractions like the Drakensberg, the tropical north or stunning game reserves, it offers plenty for such a small province.

Amanzimtoti are such a great holiday location, just 20 min out of durban connecting with the south coast. my Favrourite town and mall - and i dont like malls, i love nature... Galleria has an Ice Skating ring, Ferris wheel and even a mini train for little ones. with Ample restaurants and off course a seaview from Ocean Basket. This town has safe night bars, family orientated restaurants on the beach and in Doonside, from the rugby club where you can buy 1 get 1 local pizza on a wednesday night to where kiddies run on the fields and a sunday where you bring your meat to a greet and pay R35 for salads and buy drinks, my favourite new restaurant are the monkey bar with the most amazing view of toti where you have the BEST EVER hamburgers. Then off course there are SPLASH AND THIRSTY WHALES That make Amanzimtoti Beach very special - amazing entertainment for the family. Many little local restaurants and shops to support or just come on vacation to beach road to 1 of so many holiday flats or book holiday homes on airbnb and drive to 1 of 4 beaches within 5 minutes. Should you want to Experience the Wild Coast sun - we are just 2 hours away... home before you know it at very affordable rates for accommodation!!
