Really nice place, we were surprised. Didn't expect this high level of comfort at a gas station. Really clean, comfy beds, huge bathroom. Nice terrace if you're going to stay a few days. Really surprised, it's worth it!

Vetho FarmHouse is magical . The views are beautiful, the night sky was stunning. The house has been built to catch both the sunrise and sunset. The staff were fabulous both at the house and the Spa. We walked in the forest and found the lavendar and rosemary field. We had a wonderful few days and will definitely be back.

We booked Dunkeld on the recommendation of a friend (she knows I love horses) and were truly blown away when we drove through the gates on our arrival. Everything about this place is amazing, from the drive to reception, the chalets and rooms, the stables and the grounds in general. Our room was situated just off reception and was out of this world. It was open plane with the most amazing bathroom and Wood/log burner. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was super comfy and it just shouted luxury. We went for a walk around the property on our arrival and were met by zebra and buck roaming freely on the grounds. Their are two stable yards and I was in my element surrounded by all the horses, which are well looked after and the grooming staff were so friendly and happy to chat about the horses. I had planned on a ride but unfortunately the weather wasn't kind to us. There is so much to do at Dunkeld from fly fishing to quad biking to paint balling to name but a few. We ate in the restaurant at night and the food was fresh and tasty and the waiting on staff knowledgeable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return on our next visit to SA!

This is a hidden gem and well worth the travel.

This is a hidden gem and well worth the travel. It is South Africa's highest town at 2100m above sea level and breathing can be an issue if you have lung problems. Include the following in your stay: Bird of Prey Rehabilitation Centre Milly's food store Whiskey, gin, brandy and wine tastings throughout the town The Fudge shop situated in the antiques shop The Clock Shop A drink at any of the pubs or eateries just savouring the atmosphere.

The photos on the websites are definitely not a true reflection of how the place actually looks. Had I seen the surroundings and how dilapidated the buildings looked from outside, I would never have booked. I also arrived at "dead man's door". Nobody in sight for atleast 15-20 min. I actually thought I had been scammed. When someone eventually arrived, they were friendly and helpful. Once I checked into my room I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was old but neat and tidy. The bedding and towels smelt absolutely amazing. There was coffee, tea, sugar and powdered milk available but unfortunately only 1 coffee sachet was given. I had hot water in the evening and morning which was great. I was given a torch for when load shedding starts. For the price paid, it was okay for a quick overnight stay. I do just think some effort needs to be made to the outer appearance as the location already looks dodgy. I don't know if I will book there again. This will be my last resort if other places aren't available.

It is quick to get to Dullstroom from Gauteng.

It is quick to get to Dullstroom from Gauteng. The scenery, restaurants, tourist activities and the people make the place whole. Even though there are no franchise grocery shops such as Spar and Checkers, a delivery service will come handy.

We have stayed in Dullstroom many times, and it never disappoints! On this quick one-night stopover we ate supper at The Dullstroom Inn. The roaring fire in the fireplace has been alight since 1980 - so a lovely place to eat on a cold winter night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
