It was spacious (it was only me), clean and comfortable. I had lockable boxes for my valuables and a little deck with chairs to sit infront of the fale.
The pool was nice and had lots of shady seating options around to relax.
The breakfast was excellent (lots of fruit) and you can ask for vegetarian options.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location is great - shops and restaurants nearby and it‘s even possible to walk into town (although bus and taxi are cheap and more comfortable).

AustraliaThe family room, the pool and the complimentary breakfast and how close it was to family and Apia city. The staff were very nice and patient at checkin. Despite it being half a medical centre and a hotel it was wonderful. I would definitely come back again! Since being in Samoa since the 09th have had issues with all of our accomodations. In the hopes of Alec's Hotel being our last accommodation before we departed, it was nice to finally feel that my expectations were met. Also thank you to Camilo for helping me get a bigger room for my family as I had originally booked a 3 bed room and for allowing me to take my kids early this morning to have a quick swim before leaving.

Lovely place, very interesting culture, hired a car, went to swim at Turtle Bay, drove into the town to look around. Bought food at some of the local food places, but the best food and price was the resort itelf. To get around one does need to hire a car, they are expensive however. But to get the feel of Samoa, necessary. There are cheaper places to stay, it depends on what you want. A beautiful new airport complements the island, previously was a tin shed but what was lovely about that was the welcoming group singing and paying guitars. There is so much more to Samoa to see than just Apia. There are many beautiful resorts on the southern side of the island and many great snorkelling spots. 2 restaurants we enjoyed in Apia with Paddles and Giodarno's. I was only here for one night, for proximity to my early flight the next day. I would probably stay a couple of nights if returning to enjoy the facilites and surrounds.
