We saw so much! A nice combination of walks on our own including Central Park (used subway) and Times Square, etc., a Viator glass-top bus city tour including ferry (water tour) of Statue of Liberty, Broadway show, tour of Empire State Bldg., wonderful meals and drinks. Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. The Lake George area is so beautiful. The landscape of the mountains and lake are breathtaking. Staying in Lake George Village is preferable since you can walk everywhere in the Village, all the shops and really good places to eat. There are some great breweries in town, such as Fidens and Common Roots. I would also recommend Stacks espresso for coffee or breakfast sandwiches. Also worth walking around Empire State Plaza and checking out the New York State Museum as well as the large art installations below the plaza itself. The state capitol building is also very neat, although two sides of it were under construction while I was in town. If you're traveling through on the train as I was, there is a bus that will pick you up across from the train station that drops you off in downtown. It is a very walkable city based on the area I was in. Traffic was not to heavy compared to where I am from. The streets are a little confusing with the traffic pattern changes and the lines I the street not being very clear as some of them needed to be repainted but thats probably not an issue if you drive there often . Cute walkable town surrounded by beautiful scenery. Vibrant community. Many wonderful options for food and drink. I recommend Mix and Revelry Yards. There is a beautiful little waterfall hiking trail at the edge of town. The farmer's market was an impressive collection of produce, prepared foods, and artisanal goods. There is a huge park with paths, a playground, and kayak rentals. Ithica is a great starting point if you want to visit the many wineries on Cayuga Lake.Guest review byAlys - 8.0
