FAQs about hotels in Manhattan
Wake Up in the City That Never Sleeps
Nothing prepares you for your first glimpse of Manhattan. This legendary island is everything you’ve seen and read. And more.
Its most famous skyscraper is the Empire State Building, though some argue that views from the Top of the Rock in the Rockerfeller Centre are even better as they actually feature NYC’s most iconic building. Equally unmistakable is the Chrysler Building, overlooking Grand Central Station whose interior is pristine.
Wandering Times Square it’s easy to see why this city never sleeps. Broadway, with its theatres, runs through it and continues to Central Park, a haven of greenery. At its midway point is the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA is another museum nearby.
Other midtown Manhattan attractions include Radio City Music Hall and St Patrick’s Cathedral, while further south are the intriguing districts of Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. Streets in between house the bastions of New York shopping – Macy’s, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue.
However, the real business goes down at Manhattan’s southernmost tip, where Wall Street houses the New York Stock Exchange. North-west is the Ground Zero Memorial, while from southern Battery Park ferries depart to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
Space is at a premium in NYC so there aren’t many Manhattan hotels with free parking. However, Booking.com does offer great Manhattan hotel deals, including cheaper options.

- From US$455.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.7Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 4,597 reviewsI love this hotel. The location was fantastic. The reviews on this hotel had me nervous about my stay but given the time of year it was the best value hotel and location was great so we booked it. I am so glad we did. I think the reviews are very harsh. I am very fussy when it comes to hotels and I loved this hotel. Housekeeping phoned the room the days we had the do not disturb sign on the door and checked to see if we wanted the room cleaned or not. The staff were so helpful. I kept getting an error from booking.com saying my card details were invalid and to update them or we would lose the booking. This error occurred several times despite checking there were no issues with our bank and the hotel directly. I got this message again just before our flight so emailed the hotel to confirm there are no issues with the card and not to cancel the booking. They confirmed this was not an issue on their side and all was OK. On check in we were looked after by Adam who was so lovely and helpful during our stay. The rooms are so comfy and clean. The air con and heating all worked perfectly. There are no coffee machines in the room but this did not bother us in the slightest as there is a starbucks right beside the hotel and also a Duane Read so is handy for picking up late night snacks after a busy day sightseeing. The TV had lots of channels which was ideal for when we wanted a break from sight seeing to watch a few world cup games. Cannot wait to stay again.Guest review bySarahIreland
- From US$731.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,094 reviewsI had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Arlo Nomad! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of excellent. When we mentioned that we weren’t thrilled with the view from our original room, they not only listened to our concerns but also upgraded us to a better room without hesitation. Their attentiveness and genuine desire to make us feel welcome truly stood out. The hotel’s design is a masterpiece — modern, sleek, and thoughtfully curated to create a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Every detail felt intentional, from the stylish decor to the smart use of space. It’s the kind of place that feels Instagram-worthy at every turn. And let’s talk about the location! Situated right in the heart of the city, the Arlo Nomad makes it incredibly easy to explore everything New York has to offer. Whether it was dining, shopping, or sightseeing, we were just steps away from some of the best the city has to offer. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. Between the impeccable service, stunning design, and unbeatable location, it’s a gem I’d gladly return to for my next trip!Guest review byPatricijaSwitzerland

This was my first time visiting America, and thank God I was lucky enough to stay at this distinguished hotel, along with all its staff. The only proof of this is that I went to Buffalo after my stay at the hotel, then returned to New York and stayed at the Rio Plaza for the second time on August 6, 2025. My greetings and appreciation to all of you, and if I ever visit again, this hotel will be my place of residence. Loving you all, AbdullahGuest review byABDULLAHSaudi Arabia

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,360 reviewsThe William Vale is my favorite spot in NYC. The view from every room is incredible and the staff are the sweetest. I love staying there, I always feel at home. The Neighbourhood is so alive! A few blocks from Greenpoint and the Ferry to the City or Dumbo. I enjoy the terrasse in the summer time and the view from the roof restaurant in the winter. I would recommanded it for a family trip and a romantic stay.Guest review byoliviaCanada

Staying in or near times square is a great location to be in the thick of it with access to all ends of NYC for the sight seeing. If we where to come again we would stay more towards the west village as it is still a good location but slightly away from the hustle and bustle. Don't get caught in the tourist traps! you can see view points from rooftop bars without having to pay $60 admission fee and unless your sitting down to a posh meal every night, it isn't that expensive! We visited from the UK.. DO NOT try and adjust to the time difference, wake up naturally.. probably between 4-6am... get an uber to one end and walk back taking in all the sight seeing you want with less queues and beautiful sunrises! It's cheaper and easier because of how quiet it is, which isn't actually quiet!Guest review bylaurenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

From the periodic information passengers were able to get my United flight to Portland Maine was repeatedly delayed and then cancelled because the plane would not be able to land once it arrived. Apparently the problems on 4 September were building up throughout the day. Before the flight from LA landed my daughter in Sydney, Australia messaged me to tell there were ”shenanigans” at Newark.Guest review byMargaretAustralia - 2.0

Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. I texted the person back that I’m not interested because I feel uncomfortable and have asked for a refund of $203. Shiiii….Guest review byPhilip - 10.0

We were traveling from central PA to visit the Statue of Liberty and didn't want to make the trip in one day, so we decided to get lodging the night prior to our day trip. We debated on whether to stay in New Jersey or New York. We searched for rooms and this motel in Jersey City seemed like a good choice. It was perfect. We walked to a coffee shop in Jersey City and felt quite safe. We passed many solo joggers, mothers with small children and bicyclists. The part of the city we were in was very clean. We were pleasantly surprised.Guest review byCornelius - 10.0

After landing at Liberty, we rented a car for our tours of NYC. Finding and paying for parking in NYC was a difficulty I could live without. Fortunately, most tolls were paid with the car rental agreement. The Secaucus location was perfect for driving, but the buses stop right outside the hotel. If it were available to guests, more information on bus routes to the City's main attractions, as well as details on paying for bus and subway toll passes and wheelchair accessibility, would be helpful and might change how a traveler chooses to get around.Guest review byReyesUnited States - 6.0
