Everything! Wasn't Farm Fritz the surprise we weren't expecting. Road tripping along east coast and had to do bourbon trail so stopped in for some cost effective accomodation but now wish we stayed for longer! The whole area is lovely and this accommodation was also. Super comfy, clean and quiet. Free parking a bonus. Location was great.

My wife and I had my mother with us there, she had to have a 2nd back surgery and this is now the third time we have stayed at this hotel. Each time has been wonderful and close to the hospital.

I was on a solo cycling trip across the USA and needed a cheap hotel (2star) to match my budget. I had stayed in a few and knew what to expect …. Or so I thought … this hotel was by far the best ‘cheap hotel’ I had stayed in on my 1200 mile cycling trip and better, by far. I even had to ask the owner why it was only 2 Star !! The room was spotless and comfortable and not worn out and tired like other cheap hotels. There was even a pool and breakfast was substantial and good. I’ve given this hotel a 10 rating because it was such a surprise to get such value and the staff were polite and efficient. Loved the History of the Inn. Our room was very clean and spacious. We loved the lobby upstairs and the balcony to sit and have a drink and meet new friends. The Talbott is in the perfect location and the surrounding area had great stores and restaurants. Our room was directly over the bar however we were there during the week so we had no noise from the bar downstairs. (Not sure how I would like that room if there was a band playing) We did have lunch at the Tavern and it was delicious. We would definitely stay again.

Easy to drive to all areas of interest - including downtown Very friendly staff in all restaurants and visitor sites. Louisville Slugger and Churchill Downs had terrific tours. The Tavern , Captain's Quarters and Harry's all had excellent food and service.

Bardstown was awesome.

Bardstown was awesome. Very cool old town vibe with plenty of shops & restaurants, and bars to enjoy a nice evening after sightseeing during the day. Everything is within walking distance downtown which I liked very much. The restaurants had really great food and plenty of food types to satisfy your desire.

We stayed in Frankfort for the distilleries in the area. We had a wonderful time. People were lovely, there was more than enough to do, and Frankfort is located between Louisville and Lexington, so a great location for the area. Lots of good food options, beautiful scenery. Overall, I would love to return to Frankfort.

Shelbyville doesn’t have many activities or restaurants. We stayed at the Best Western at exit 32 off 64 west. Only fast food restaurants and Waffle House for food. We did get a good pizza at Jeptha Creed Distillery at this exit.

We stayed in Harrodsburg specifically to see my Granddaughter who is in training in the Kimme Program. We were only a few miles from The Farm she is in training with which made it very handy to spend time with her. We now wish we had stayed longer due to the beauty of the area.

The Stave restaurant near Woodford Reserve is 'dive delicious' with fantastic southern food and a screened in porch. Ask for Wendy. Amsden coffee is good. Proximity of Versailles to the Kentucky Castle, spectacular horse farms, distilleries and both Lexington, and Frankfort is perfect.

Well with covid, not many food places open and lines of course were long. The whole eating area in the outlet mall was closed except a pizza and chicken place. But we had fun with what little time we did have. It is horse country out there and would love to see it when all green with horses out. Beautiful place

I lived in Louisville 40 years ago as a newlywed; my children were born there. But boy, has it changed! Downtown unrecognizable. Diversity! Food! Beautiful (well, not so much in the winter). A lot of stuff for kids to do, adults, too. You won't be bored. The only thing that was bothersome is the homeless/mentally challenged people on the streets, especially visible downtown.

Nice choice of restaurants in downtown and south side of the city. Not so much on the north side where we stayed. Brewery and distillery tours were fun and educational. We always love to go to the horse races every spring and fall! Traffic can be bad at times on rhe north side.
