The property is very well maintained and well-equipped with everything you could look forward to, in a resort for relaxation. The staff were very courteous and prompt in responses. The water park was superb and kids could spend hours having fun in the aqua park area and slides. There are several lounges/ recreation rooms with books, Board games, table tennis and billiards and a very well equipped gym. The best part is that these are all regularly maintained and kept arranged. There is an excellent kids club on the property which is very well supervised with many activities and we could really see that kids were genuinely having fun there. The staff there were polite, caring towards kids as well as friendly and considerate. There is a first aid room with nurse available on the property. There are several options for a drink or a bite. The location of the property is excellent, and just within 5-10 mins walk there are several good Thai Reataurants as well as souvenir shops and cafes. Breakfast is served from 6 am onwards so it makes for an early start to the day. We didn’t take part in many activities but there is more than enough to keep you occupied such as Thai cooking classes, yoga, Thai boxing and many more. Must visit island in thailand. Must visit for atleast 4 days, serene islands, very less population, all essential and necessary things are available. Great experience. We went in May with a group of friends and found it a low key and relaxing island. Beautiful beaches and a few places to explore. I think scooter hire is a must-have to be able to get around...that was a highlight for us just cruising around the island! The hike to the 'big tree' was way harder than expected but the gorgeous secluded beach at the end made it worth it. In low season it seems like at least half the restaurants and shops are closed so you can't rely on google to tell you where to go, sometimes you just have to drive around and see what's open.Guest review byLarsNew Zealand - 8.0

If you want to visit a clean beach for swimming and water activities, this is not a good option. there was plastic and other rubbish every where, both on shore and in the water. The resorts locally are lovely though and still worth staying at. We stayed at Santhiya and it was wonderful. Lots of things to photograph here. Street photography, landscape, seascapes, drones, portraits, temples, wildlife. The Elephant Cave was awesome, and we even arranged to photograph it with our tripods. Lots of monkeys were running around. We took our scooters about 20 minutes away to a dock and launched drones to capture beautiful river deltas. Koh Panyee is worth to visit.
Koh Panyee is worth to visit. There are a lot of tours from Phuket, or from Krabi, which are not so cheap, and they stops in this island only a half hour. If you want to stay a longer time, you can buy a private boat from Tha Dan pier, or there is a local boat between about 9am-4pm. This is the cheapest one, it cost only 50-150 baht for one way. There is a hotel in the island. After 6pm no tourists in Koh Panyee, only a few people, who staying this hotel. If you want peace and quiet and seclusion, this is the place! Be aware that you are there to relax and will be paying higher prices for items such as food an drink. It makes sense as they have to ship everything in. That being said, everything is made with care and delicious! They do have two happy hours from 5-6 and 9-10 on the beach. Lots of honeymooners! Very poor. I wouldn’t recommend it. The room was tall and had all the facilities you need and the pool and beach area is nice. But for going there you have to cross a public road with lots of traffic. But the worst thing was the food. All our food experiences during our whole stay there was just unacceptable. When we told our complains at the first Dinner to the waitress (the tiger prawns were like gummy the rest was more ore less tasteless) she just said ‚ok‘, left and didn’t come back for a long time. The breakfast offers many different food options but mostly weak quality and poor taste. There is an egg station where they offer also poached egg. When I ordered one, it was (pre-cooked) picked out of a plastic box in the fridge and served cold; the omelette Thai style was disgusting - really not what you expected in a 5* Hotel.
