Amazing hotel. 5/5. Everything was spotless and tidy. They had a lovely outdoor pool aswell as a nice place to relax in the sun. The staff were really friendly and super helpful. We had an awesome stay at Vannee Golden Sands and can highly recommend this resort. The staff was extremely helpful, and responsive to queries I had prior to the trip. The staff also went out of their way to make our friend's birthday a very special and memorable celebration. The pool and swim-up-bar was fantastic as well (can recommend the pina colada cocktails). The breakfast offered a wide variety of sweet and savoury items, which was great and fresh. I enjoyed the spa and sauna facilities.

It's like a 5 star hotel. So clean. The rooms are just perfect. Huge, bright. The bed is good. Finally, a normal madrass in thailand. And the pillows are great. Polite and nice staff. Lovely area around with the beach just in front of you. The hotel restaurant had very good prices. We didn't try the pool, but it looked lovely.

The location is peaceful and private, yet still close enough to great restaurants and attractions. The beach in front of the villa is clean, quiet, and perfect for both adults and kids. The service was outstanding – the team was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with transfers, activities, or anything we needed. A very special thanks to Jenny, the amazing concierge, who truly made everything possible – from last-minute requests to organizing special touches that made our stay unforgettable.     We loved our stay at Golden Hill! The staff is incredible. They are kind, caring and attentive when we need a service. The hotel restaurant has a magnificent view and delicious dishes (You must try the Gaspacho!!). The hotel swimming pool, located below the restaurant, also boasts a breathtaking view; the perfect place to watch the sunset. The hotel also offers room service and a fast, reliable cab service. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the team once again for making our stay even more unforgettable. A hotel to book with your eyes closed.

    It was an amazing hotel and I loved the whole environment, placed within the palm trees and other beautiful nature. I even saw a tiny snake and some squirrels! My bungalow was amazing, it was clean, looked renovated and had a functioning AC. I also really liked my hammock outside where I laid when it rained for a bit. I loved that the beach was close by and you could reach boutiques, 7 eleven etc just outside the hotel. Can only recommend this place and will def come back here when I’m back on the island.

    The bed was massive and the bathroom was big too. We had a nice sitting area outside with a hammok, a table and two chairs. Although there are quite a few mosquitos due to rain, but the fan was perfect in that situation. Internet was good and free shampoo and a warm shower after some rain, was much appreciated. Few meters from the beach you can enjoy the daily sunset.

    Not the nicest part of island.

    Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

    Amazing place on the island.

    Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

    Great location , lovely village great restaurants, not over crowded , family friendly. We ate in many local restaurants , the food was superb and very reasonably . Good variety of shops and supermarkets , we didn't travel outside the resort as didn't need to but plenty of taxis if needed

    Aside from the turquoise water, there is a reef just a few yards from the shore where you can snorkel and see beautiful fish, big clams, and coral. Although much of the coral is bleached and dead, there's enough living coral there for adults and kids to enjoy. Since the water is shallow, it's safe to walk all the way out where it gets a little deeper for better snorkeling. The beach is a white sand beach, but we recommend swim shoes which are available at a little grocery store, along with snorkel masks. Many beachside restaurants to choose from. Although there is no public shower, some restaurants have an outdoor shower available.

    I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

    Location - it was like a dream.

    Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

    I was expecting Haad Rin to be more crowded, dirty, and over touristy. But it wasn't! Yes, there are plenty of shops and bars and the streets are a little lively, but the beach itself is spacious, clean, and so relaxing. We aren't partiers and we had a fantastic stay in this area.
