- From US$136.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 354 reviewsI recently had the distinct pleasure of visiting Ela Beach, Papua New Guinea, and my stay was made even more delightful by the services at the hotel where I lodged. The warmth and rich cultural heritage of Papua New Guinea were justly mirrored in every aspect of my hotel stay, making the entire experience one to cherish.. The room offered a breathtaking view of the mesmerizing Ela Beach, which easily instilled a sense of serenity and unquantifiable peace, the pacific ocean view.. Additionally, the provision of modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and an incredibly comfortable bed was commendable, proving that the hotel prioritized guest comfort. The hotel staff deserves a special mention for their friendly and professional demeanor. They were always genuinely courteous, ready to assist with a smile, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The service was prompt and efficient, from the check-in process to room service. Another highlight was the hotel's restaurant, where the culinary offerings were simply exquisite. I delighted in the rich palette of local dishes as well as international cuisine, all professionally prepared and beautifully presented. Ambient music and courteous restaurant staff only heightened this gastronomic experience. The hotel’s proximity to the beach provided effortless access to seaside indulgence. Easy walks along the serene beach during the golden hour became an enjoyable routine. Only one needs for improvement is the Gym, with an old equipment, not so maintained and even the AC's are not working, ending up you're sweating like inside a sauna.Guest review byMaria-PazPhilippines
- From US$84.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.6Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 450 reviewsThe staff, especially Lucy, was AMAZING. They arranged for a taxi to pick my wife up at 5:00 a.m. in the dark. She doesn't speak English, but they always went the extra mile to help her. When she needed PNG Kina cash across the street, the staff put on another layer of clothing over their uniforms to escort her to get cash from the ATM. They took het to buy a SIM card, to Western Union, and The High Commission of The Solomon Islands. They arranged a taxi for her and an airport employee on her day off to go sightseeing for a day for only 80 Kina ($28), WAY less than Local Guides that wanted to charge me $300/day. They never left her in a quiet corner of the hotel or grounds on her own. They even arranged to take her to the airport at the unreasonable hour of 4:30 a.m. this morning. She couldn't camp out there over night. The airport closes at night and doesn't re-open until 3:00 a.m., I have NEVER seen a hotel go THAT far out of their way to take care of a guest. Absolutely amazing considering it is the 2nd cheapest hotel in Port Moresby and only 1.2 km from the airport. I can not more highly recommend a hotel anywhere in the world for customer service and that is after I have been to 170+ countries!Guest review bySteveUnited States
- From US$245.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 187 reviewsGreat location with free shuttle service to the airport nearby Super staff, with friendliness, professional interaction and very helpful Lots of variety for food and drink options at different times of the day and 24h room service, with lots of variety from Café snacks to fine dining Very nice, clean and well stocked rooms Lots of lounges here and there to grab a quiet spot Lots of A/c rooms and also comfy seats with no A/c if you prefer warmer settings. I noticed the lounges are set to different temperatures from really cold to slightly chilled They even have a Stop & Shop corner shop on the property with ATM machine if the ATM on Floor 6 is out of money/unavailable Buggy ride provided to get you from reception to the shop and back again if desiredGuest review byBryanUnited States
- From US$179.15 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 134 reviewsGreat hotel just 40 minutes (bus + boat) from POM Airport. Free return transfer from the airport. Beautiful pool and great water villas facing sunrise. I made mistake with the date of arrival, hotel sent the bus but …… my plane arrived one day later. For the hotel it wasn’t a problem, they sent the bus and made a change in our reservation without any extra fees. Great service, thank you once again. Excellent place to stay very close to Port Moresby (which is not unsafe as described) with great diving options not far away (there is a dive shop in hotel). Hope to see you in July againGuest review byMiroslawPoland
- From US$271.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 16 reviewsTufi is absolutely a beautiful place to have a holiday. Staying here brings you great peace of mind cuz the friendly staff make everything in order routinely even there are not too many guests. The management team, Jana and Thomas, arranged variable activities to enrich your spare time. Jana was not only a good manager, but also my diving guide when I did scuba diving there. You also have enough spare time to stay alone or with your mates and no rush on offered activities. The beach is amazing snorkelling is interesting and everything in Tufi is like its name paradise.Guest review byXiaoAustralia

Overall is good to me.
Overall is good to me. The staffs are very helpful, friendly. Weather is good. Convenience for me to go to the island with transport provided. Food need to be improved. If possible can add some more menu so that we have more choices for asian. Food too salty, cannot fix my taste. Room view is satisfy to me. Enjoy very much of the stay.Guest review byJANICEPapua New Guinea - 6.0

It would be good if breakfast was included given the high rates charged for the rooms per night. I was disappointed breakfast wasn't included with the accommodation. I mostly likely to book in a hotel that includes accommodation with breakfast next time I am in POMGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Despite the various overhyped negativity painted by the...
Despite the various overhyped negativity painted by the media daily, the city is actually safe, friendly and can be enjoyable. Accommodation-wise, for high budget travelers, Stanley Hotel, Airways, and Hilton are recommended. Loloata Island resort is also a luxurious choice. Medium ranged budget travelers can opt for Ela Beach Hotel, Gateway Hotel & Apartments, Holiday Inn apartments or one or the premier rooms. Airways, Hilton and Stanley hotels have delicious menus of local and international dishes served on breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets daily. As well as that, the Vision City mega mall, Rangeview mall, or Waterfront or Foodworld shops have variety of fresh and processed food choices available for those that prefer cooking their own meals. The Boroko or Gordans main markets are your choice for fresh local produce. Local taxis are generally preferred cheap mode of transport from point, otherwise it is recommended to get a hire car and driver (if you are not familiar with the city roads). A general Google search can list down various hire car services. Depending on type of vehicle, daily rates average around AUD$150/day for a decent car. Again, despite the continuous bad portrayal of the city and its residents, it is in fact much more safer than assumed. The locals tend to not bother tourists/visitors as much, however there are a few bad apples here and there (as you would expect from a rapidly growing city rife with uncontrolled urban drift and population growth), hence to be on the safe side, avoid walking on foot around specific suburbs (Erima, Gordons, Morata) at night.Guest review byChrisPapua New Guinea
