After a long journey, we were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels, and even picked up directly from the bus station—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Milan, the concierge, truly went above and beyond. He was the most attentive and caring concierge we’ve ever met, providing invaluable information before, during, and even after our stay. He took care of everything, from arranging free transport to the bus station and visits to the elephant breeding centers, to organizing our onward travel and bus tickets. His dedication to ensuring our experience was seamless and stress-free was truly remarkable. The hotel’s own safari guide, Raj, was another highlight. His passion for wildlife was evident, and his knowledge made our safari experience unforgettable. The team made sure to carefully walk us through all the tour options, helping us choose the best ones suited to our interests. Special thanks to the wonderful waitstaff, Robyn and Kabita, who went out of their way to suggest delicious local dishes and served the best coffee. Their warm service and attention to detail made every meal a delight. This hotel delivers on every front, from outstanding service to thoughtful recommendations. Booked a deluxe triple room with air conditioned based on previous excellent reviews. It was excellent, just like all other reviews are saying: super friendly staff, very clean, good WIFI, very good air conditioned. From this hotel, all of your requests can be answered (safari booking, bus booking, laundry, etc.) at very competitive prices. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, surrounded by rice fields and a 15 min. walk from the ''main street''. Suraj was very helpful and they have a pick-up truck to drive you to and from different places in Sauraha. Overall, we enjoyed 100% of our stay and definitely recommend this place.

We couldn't even dream of a better place to stay in Chitwan! We decided to go there without pre-booking any tour and it was the best decision. The hotel owner Assis helped us with everything from booking of the bus tickets thru pick-up from and to the bus station. He is very knowledgeable about the area and can help you set-up (and book) your program in a way that you can make the most of your time in Chitwan! He and his crew welcome you every time with a huge smile and the whole place feels like home! It's a nicely small hotel out of the main tourist crowd but still close (10min walk) from everything you may need (many advantages - it's more calm! maybe you can spot a rhino right from your terasse, and most importantly you will feel like a family member even with other guest). And the FOOD is DELICIOUS! Main pros to the chef Abi who was always incredibly kind and open to any tweaks that we needed (like low gluten etc...). Huge thanks to Hotel Happy land and we'll happily come back 💚

    The remoteness of this lodge means you are more likely to encounter wildlife than in the more populated area of Sauraha. There were rhinoceros grazing each early morning in the river and the jeep safari brought us up close and personal. The guide is also extremely knowledgeable. This remoteness also gives you the calm, quiet and completely relaxing experience. The staff were absolutely exceptional, going well beyond the standard to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay the best it can possibly be. It is highly eco-sustainable, avoiding plastic wherever possible, the majority of staff are hired from the local community and they try to purchase as much food and services also from the local community. This investment helps reduce locals reliance on income sources that may be more harmful to the environment and wildlife. Is it expensive? When compared to other Nepalese accommodation and services, yes. Is it worth it though? Absolutely!

    Love their swimming pool as well as they do the best coffee in the area. I wholeheartedly recommend it Our experience at Jungle Safari Lodge was absolutely amazing. We would like to commend the excellent cuisine, which provided us with delicious meals every day. A special thanks goes to the staff for their patience and understanding in every way.The staff was incredibly accommodating and did everything possible to make our stay unforgettable. Our stay at Jungle Safari Lodge was truly wonderful, and we would love to return.

    We spent two nights here in a beautiful setting – highly recommended to everyone! Everything was clean, peaceful, and calm. Despite our delay, the owner waited for us until midnight, helped us with the check-in, and arranged everything we needed for the trek and our visit to the national park. Wonderful people – always helpful and kind. Once again, thank you for the lovely time we had at your place – we’d be happy to stay again. Wishing you all the best... namaste!

    The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national...

    The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national park, however, you can easily be ripped off by local guides and tour operators. Just shop around and remember that Jeep Safaris are a rip off because chanches of seeing any wild animal are extremely slim andyou end up spending 4 boring hours getting around the park. Make sure you know all options and talk to locals and tourist to find the best tour. I also recommend to visit the Tharu people site and see their dances, which is the best experience I had in this place

    The location maps they point to are incorrect. It took me in the opposite direction. Even the mobile they provide is incorrect. I complained to the front desk staff to correct immediately so that the other client won't be misguided.

    We had such an awesome visit to Chitwan, made even better by...

    We had such an awesome visit to Chitwan, made even better by our stay at this hotel. Such friendly and helpful service throughout. We organised all our safaris through the hotel (which included lunch) if it was a full day, this was very handy. Often we’d be tired after the long day out on safari (lucky enough to see lots of beautiful birds and rhinos). Facilities were good, bed very comfortable and nice hot shower. We ate a lot at the hotel which was very tasty. Fresh produce! Most guests seem to be getting involved with the safaris so are up early this can mean it can be a bit noisy in the mornings, which didn’t phase us.

    Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4...

    Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4 elephants! It’s free and you meet two rescue elephants ladies :) We did a full day jeep safari and a half day jungle walk+canoeing. We were lucky and saw a bear, a bison, wild elephants and rhinos. Lots of colourful birds, crocodiles, monkeys etc. but you need luck to see the big animals. It’s sad that it is allowed to ride elephants in the Nationalpark what is an absolutely animal crime and the idea of a Nationalpark is to protect animals and nature. Also, to make more money, they let start five jeeps with one or two guests in it instead of putting them together. So they need to make more efforts and be more eco friendly. It worth a visit when you are already in the country and have time. But two days are enough.

    Gateway to safari’s either on foot or via Jeep. It township its self is a developing thriving hub with many restaurants, bars, tour / safari guide shopfronts. The riverside is peaceful with numerous animal sightings all day.

    It was my second visit to Chitwan.

    It was my second visit to Chitwan. I'll be returning again soon, to see more of what I haven't seen yet. I've, the crocodile breeding centre and the elephants. Plenty of places to choose from for meals. Easy to walk around the town, apart from where the streets are being improved. Plus, even when many tourists there, it doesn't seem crowded. Pleasant weather during my time there. Plus, I managed to see several football World Cup games, at different bars/restaurants.
