Located only 30min away from Amsterdam (by train), this little hotel is awesome outside peak season for visiting multiple regions close to Amsterdam, and Amsterdam district. Train station is 5min away by foot. During peak season, there's a generous beach within 10 min walk distance, so very convenient. The room was spacious, warm and sunny, with lovely old wood furniture, clean, large and modern bathroom. On premise kitchen had everything you needed, in case you decided to cook, but even just for a quick coffee or breakfast Hosts were very friendly and accomodated us as soon as we arrived, even if it was not yet the check-in time. They also allowed us to leave luggage with them after check-out, for a few more hours, until we had to head towards the airport. All in all, we loved our stay at La Rosa. Thank you.

B&B Hotel Malts is right in the heart of Haarlem (yet a quick bus trip to from Schiphol Airport), it’s beautifully decorated - we loved coming “home” after a day’s activities fuelled by a generous, freshly cooked Dutch breakfast. We couldn’t recommend this accommodation more highly.

When we arrived, we were immediately impressed with the quirkiness of the Dairy - it felt modern, inviting, and fresh, with cow-themed decor that gave the place a boutique feel. Reception was friendly and quick and we were checked in with no issues. Our room was similarly fantastic: spotlessly cleaned and warmly decorated. The bed was very comfortable (they even accommodated my request for one big double bed instead of two singles side-by-side!) and we had control of the room's AC. There was also fast wifi, a desk, and a safe, which were all amenities we appreciated. The free drink vouchers we received if we chose not to have our room cleaned were a bonus - a great treat when we returned to the hotel each night. The location is fantastic, right across the road from the Centrum (Center / Old Town) of Haarlem and only about a 15 minute walk from Haarlem Station even though the street that the Dairy itself is on is quiet and safe. We had easy access to lively restaurants and cafes and spent one evening in Haarlem just to soak it in. The 24-hour reception was amazing as well when we needed to leave at 5:30 AM on our last day to catch a train. We chose to stay in Haarlem mostly as a transitory location because it was much better value for money than Amsterdam proper, but the Dairy and Haarlem itself were so wonderful that we would visit again.

My parents have spent 3 unforgettable days in the Beachhouse hotel. These 3 days were about replenishment and rejuvenation. Time in Beachhouse hotel would definitely be part of their ideal holidays, at Zandvoort, directly on the beach, of absolute gorgeousness. My parents could already feel the air working its magic, with the sea breeze drifting over them. Beachhouse Hotel is an Excellent hotel!!! Everything is clean, comfortable, tastefully done, with love and attention to the guests. Nice design, new furniture, snow-white linens. My parents were vacationing in January, so the room was warm and cozy. The staff is polite and friendly, quickly answered all questions until the settlement. There were no complaints about cleaning. Since the hotel does not have a restaurant, the staff made up for this lack by having a delicious breakfast, where there was always fresh bread, red fish, honey and other goodies. My parents were pleasantly surprised that during the day they could enjoy fresh tea and sweet foods for free, which made it possible to sit in the hall and enjoy the seascape. When it was raining, the room had the opportunity to turn on Netflix, under your password, and watch some interesting movie. And, the feature of Beachhouse Hotel in Zandvoort, which can not be compared with other hotels, is the view of the ocean in front of your eyes 24/7, and the sound of the surf as a lullaby! Next time I will come to Beachhouse Hotel with my parents to celebrate their wedding anniversary!

    I really liked the distance from the airport to the Hotel, it took only a bus. I love the self service machine they offer snacks, drinks and appliances for the phone etc., also the efficiency of the room card, that only hotel guests can use and it is modern. I found my room really clean and smelled amazing, with a big balcony, TV, a changing room where you can put the luggages and hang your clothes, two separate bathroom (one with only CR and the other one with a shower and a bathtub). They even have a spa. Overall it was an exceptional experience. ✨

    Loved our little bungalow. It’s a 5 min drive to the train station and then a 10 min train ride to Amsterdam. There’s a city nearby with restaurants and grocery stores and lots of trails to explore.

Great for the beach, the dunes and access to Haarlem, Amsterdam and beyond, with regular buses and trains to both Lots of lovely places to eat (and what I believe to be the best chips in the world, at Fritures D’anvers) Wonderful ice cream at San Remo Cafe Mio Great for tapas Can’t comment much on the beach bars as we’ve not really used them A nice little selection of shops, you can get pretty much everything you need for your stay, right on the doorstep. 3 supermarkets all within a few mins’ walk of each other, plus lots of lovely smaller shops for groceries too

    Staying in Haarlem was an excellent experience.

    Staying in Haarlem was an excellent experience. Haarlem is a wonderful community with an Old European vibe. We particularly enjoyed the healthy biking lifestyle. It was a pleasure seeing everyone traveling by bike using such safe bike lanes. Fantastic restaurants and shops. Very walkable. Haarlem became the biggest surprise highlight of our vacation.

    The actual town was just a town, nothing to see really...

    The actual town was just a town, nothing to see really except local shops. There was a WW2 bunker/museum just along from the hotel but the Google information about opening times was not accurate, I was stood at the locked front door when Google said it was open. Check before planning a visit.

    A modern tower block next to a MacDonalds, and a large dual carriageway. Facilities for dining and socialising incredibly restricted and dull. Seems to be full of workers - smoking outside the front door. Bedrooms claim to be deluxe, they are clean and pleasant - not deluxe by any stretch of the imagination.

    it was not clean,windows were filty and floor also.chairs were broken put together with tape,no hairdryer no broom no can or wine opener.pictures on booking.com look better then it is .lot is missing.noise from neighbors till 8am in the morning.you have to pick up your linen packet but no towels are included and not knowing that you dont have towels if you come in late . it was a beautiful place but it needs new furniture and stuff in it.for 2000 dollar it was to much the cafeteria is very nice with great food.there is no market to do a few groceries . we were there not for vacation but we had a dead in the family .

    Everything is outdated and looks tired. Needs a spruce up for the price being charged. To charge for Linen and then provide torn sheets. No towels. Dirty and broken shower. Narrow uncomfortable beds...the list goes on.. Just not a nice experience overall and regret booking this place

    If this means the town itself, well, there are more historic and "prettier" Dutch towns but it has everything you need. The 'centre' is hard to find but there is a station from where you can get to Den Gelder, Amsterdam, etc. Bike parking in the station is NOT secure. There ARE NO CAMERAS anywhere. The supermarket, Jumbo, has a wide range of items. I ate twice at the restaurant 't Schippersrijk" and it is absutely EXCEPTIONAL. Love lakeside setting , nice ambience and excellent food and service. If you want to explore North Holland, then this is a good base.

    Zandvoort was a good base with shops and restaurants. We visited the Circuit Park. We also enjoyed visiting Leiden by train and Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site by car. We ate at the Bella Italian restaurant near the railway station and various other places.

    For me the human-scale of the houses is Haarlem's greatest...

    For me the human-scale of the houses is Haarlem's greatest gift to the WORLD today and is the reason why I always come back as long as I can. Another attraction is that there are so many cute, little streets tucked away, so there are lots of places to walk through sampling the quiet charm which is NOT TOURISTY at all. The inhabitants clearly take great pride in what they grow in front of their doorsteps. For me it is the kind of heaven that humans can make if only they try.

    I had been to IJmuiden as a child many times and I am familiar with the neighbouring towns we had intended to visit. Instead, we went further afield and upon the advice of the staff we planned our route slightly different. The staff are very very competent and knowledgeable, always smiling and making sure their guests have everything they need. For us…our time there was too short but nevertheless a fantastic stay. Thank you everyone for your care , hospitality and helpful service. We loved our stay with you
