Wonderful staff, clean and spacious rooms, great breakfast including the service. They also helped us organise - with very short notice - a trip to the dunes. Hansa Hotel has a nice touch of “old-fashioned seaside resort by the Baltic Sea or by the English South Coast”.

    Bay View Resort Hotel is located between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund on a beach overlooking Atlantic Ocean. The views from the room were amazing, especially on a breathtaking sunset. The room itself was spacious and equipped with anything one could ask, the bathroom and the bedroom promising a luxurious stay. A great experience overall, stuff was helpful and friendly and the restaurants food was really, really good. A 5 star accommodation on the best value for money stay we had in Namibia.

    An amazingly unique quality property set at the end of a peninsula. Fantastic food, friendly staff and a great NEW owner in Hilo, who has turned around a floundering hotel (if you believe the old reviews ) A drive across sand for 10km only heightens the expectations , and we were not disappointed. Driving through colonies of sea lions was an experience and then kayaking with them the next day, with Marcus as our guide, was truly magical. We will be back again!!!

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance.

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. I visited Swakopmund 20 years ago and the only issue I found worrysome this time around was the many hustlers trying to force their offerings for sale. The jetty also needs some urgent maintenance.

    I liked the weather, activities particularly the combo from Sandwich Dune company which included a cruise, we were able to see seald which kept coming on our boat, pelicans, dolphins and we also got an opprotunity to see a whale. We then went on the sand dune drive which was a lot of fun got to see where the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib desert meet. we also saw the desert animalsthe oryx and springbok. It was a great adventure which we all enjoyed. We got to v isit the Mondesa Village Hafeni restraunt for some local food which we enjoyed

    Omaruru was a lovely surprise.

    Omaruru was a lovely surprise. It was a short trip to break our journey on the way to Swakopmund. Such a lovely, beautiful town with the loveliest and friendly people. Great restaurants with german cuisine, and very very safe. We walked around for hours at night and felt so safe.

    This is a residential area that includes vacation rentals.

    This is a residential area that includes vacation rentals. It was quiet and felt safe. There are no shops. There are several large concrete pools that fill with seawater and are used for swimming. There is one small restaurant near the swimming area that is open limited hours during the off season.

    Best seafood in Namibia you will get at Fishy Corner- fresh and masterchef quality The Spar Henties is a shopping experience on its own. You will go in for 5 items and comes out with a trolly full of goodies. The weather, the people, the houses with their own unique character makes Henties Bay a must visit place.

    Wilhelmstal is just a tiny place along the B2. To reach Khan River Lodge you follow the signs that lead you 20 km from the tarred road B2 to the Lodge on sandy farm roads. The trip is no problem also for normal sedan cars. Food is offered at the lodge while self- catering is also a possibility. Their breakfast is very rich and nice. The lodge also offers game drives to their customers.

    the museum which was recommended by the hotel was really worth a visit we spent a whole morning there and learnt so much about Namibia and its people as well as Swakopmund. the walk along the pier though very windy was worth the experience.

    Walvis Bay is a peaceful city/town with some great activities to participate in such as sailing on the Atlantic to spot seals and whales. It's a great choice for visitors looking to relax in a peaceful neighbourhood. Its only 30 minutes away from the old town of Swakopmund where visitors can access relaxing beach spots, tourism sites, and restaurants.

    The lovely grounds. The room was a little disappointing .. Looking into road entrance and neighbours open messy garden. Room quite small. Evening meal and breakfast were sub standard. They were very helpful and changed our booking dates, due to sickness that delayed us by a week.

    Its a quiet area, perfect if you want a peaceful get away as well as for fishing and surfing. Best place to eat @ Salt restaurant, maybe because it was near to our location. Its easy to get around once you familiarize yourself with the street names. You need to ensure you have your own means of transport or reliable shuttle services when visiting this area.
