- From $682.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 2,391 reviewsAfter a very long and tiring trip, we arrived in Paradise, and the people who lived there were exactly the face of what paradise is and its meaning. On this island, there are beautiful people that live and work there in this unique hotel that fits perfectly in this idyllic place, filled with luscious vegetation and surrounded by clear waters. It was the best hotel ever, of all places we have visited in the world. Everyone, without exception, was very kind, helpful and overall amazing, especially all the friendly people in the three restaurants we went to. In the main restaurant (Bageecha), we were greeted by the wonderful hostesses Geethika and Samjhana. Geethika was tireless in making sure that everything was going perfectly for us. The managers Aman and Shafiq would welcome any special request we had. Shafiq was very nice and gentle, and the lovely Aman was a very caring and generous person. The waiters Rejin and Viju were always there for anything we needed. At every meal, there were various dishes to fit every taste. Each meal included fresh fruit, tasty desserts and a variety of very good cocktails. At the Lagoon restaurant, there were Iresha, Ammar and Rasheed. Every day, Iresha would greet us with a smile and offer me a flower to put in my hair, it was amazing and so pleasant to have such a nice treat. It was amazing to meet a young man named Ammar, who was always helpful and kind to us. He was super kind and gentle with me, with his sweet behavior and special attention. And I am so grateful to have met him and all the others. Finally, Rasheed was always available to attend to our special requests. At the Farumathi, the seafood restaurant that we visited once, we met Diksha, a very nice and joyful young woman. She made sure we had a great meal. A special thanks to Nikka and Nathaniel, from the live music band, for the opportunity to sing with them.Guest review byJoãoPortugal
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,114 reviewsEverything was great. From the check-in process to check-out till the airport was fully supported. We had the all-inclusive package, so there was no hassle with anything. Our check-in staff was Mr. Sham, and he was excellent in helping us during the process. Mr. Hoodh from the Farivalhu Restaurant was very kind in helping us all the time during breakfast, lunch & dinner. The snorkelling around the island was fabulous. The sunset trip with the dolphin watch was fantastic. Last but not least, Duniye Spa was an awesome experience and a must to do. Lots of activities for adults and kids. A great vacation place.Guest review byYogesh GosaviCanada
- From $583.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 392 reviewsAmazing landscapes, delicious food (each day would bring sth new), wonderful, always smiled and ready to help people, reef near the hotel (colourful fish, turtles, sharks and mantas). Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed each day, trip from/to the aiport organized, so just after leaving Arrivals Zone at the airport we were taken care of. Lizzards, bats, tropical birds and a hen ;). No need to wear shoes while walking on the island. No crowds, peace and quiet. Would love to come back there one day....Guest review byEwelinaPoland

We loved the dive shop, instructors were talented and friendly. The island has a medical clinic with dive chamber of needed. I loved the marine life and living reef surrounding. Incredible the marine life we encountered!! And to top it off, our three loved the kids clubhouse so much she is still talking about the “mickey mouse clubhouse”. Wish we didnt have to leave after 6 days of heaven!Guest review byAshleyGermany
- From $1,184.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 145 reviewsOur villa was spacious, clean and well equipped. We had amazing views and our own Villa host to handle every request we could have - from restaurant reservations to activities or anything we could think of. Staff was excellent and efficient across the whole resort. Despite being in May, we had plenty of sunshine and the quick rain showers we had only served as a short pause from the sun. This place is amazing, definitely recommend it!Guest review byCarlosFrance

One of the most beautiful places in the world.
One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement. The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)! Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!). I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive! Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus. Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!Guest review byLaurenL97United Kingdom - 8.0

It is a really peaceful island with a really nice beach. Beach has almost that resort level quality to it. Island is small, so besides water activities or some excursions, there is not much to do, so for some travelers it might get boring.Guest review byVladimirSerbia - 10.0

Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !Guest review byDarinaSlovakia - 2.0

We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere. The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.Guest review byanitaGermany - 6.0
